DUNDALK EVENING NAP: Shamrock heads to the Polytrack at Dundalk for a nap on Wednesday evening.

Waxies Dargle, yesterday’s nap, was an alarming drifter pre-race and the layers got it right with the selection finishing out of the frame.

We head to the flat at Dundalk tonight and it’s going to be a lengthy wait for the nap which goes in the final race at 9.20.

It’s an interesting maiden, not least of which because of the presence of the Dermot Weld trained debutant Tuscan Light, a daughter of Medicean.

However, that one is quite weak in the early BETDAQ market and it may be the two with experience that fight out the finish.

King Of The Romans from Aidan O’Brien’s yard has already had five chances to lose his maiden tag including a mid-division effort here at Dundalk last October.

He is stepped up in trip for his seasonal reappearance but is already a friend of the layers with defeats coming at 4/6 and 2/1 (twice).

Behlayan is preferred. He didn’t achieve that much on debut here when beating only one home in a five runner event won by Super Sling in March but wasn’t beaten far and with the benefit of a recent run, a step-up in distance and the potential to improve significantly on his debut effort, he is given the nod here.
