6-4 WINNER AS MASTER-TIPSTER DAQMAN GETS HIS NAP ON TRACK: Master Rajeem (WON 6-4), offered at 5.0 in running at Carlisle, landed the nap for maestro Daqman yesterday. It follows mixed fortunes for the nap after a winner at 9-4, a gambled-on faller, and one which saw his fling on an outsider in the same race winning at 40-1.

FREE BETS! FREE COMMISSION! IT’S A GREAT BETDAQ RIDE AT KEMPTON TONIGHT: After his two wins in three races yesterday, Daqman turns to the Kempton Park evening card, with four races sponsored by BETDAQ. He naps…

Hats off to The Queen and a Sweet Ovation for BETDAQ. That’s how I see the Kempton Park card unfolding on a night of celebration for punters, who are on free commission, offered free bets and, as ever, will be betting in the punter-friendly zone of a free market on every race, including the four sponsored by BETDAQ.

6.00 Kempton (£200 Free Bets At Betdaq Handicap) This was won last year by Howyadoingnotsobad, and I wish the question could be answered so quickly this time around.

‘What’s going to win?’ being the question I had in mind, and Alpha Delta Whisky being the unlikely answer, since he’s badly off with Steelcut and Catflap, and few horses at this level can manage back-to-back success.

Tell that to Where’s Reiley! He put three together; in fact, four out of five in three months from early January. That, too, would be a negative because of the way it would normally attract the handicapper’s glare.

But, since two were in sellers and two in claimers, his mark is actually down a pound since his sequence began, and his ‘caps form is not so good; his last handicap win was 25 races ago in March 2011.

Go Nani Go used to race in the 80s but is down to 70 here. However there is no evidence we can trust him to win on today’s surface, though he might beat Sherjawy, who’s had 46 races since he last scored.

Liberal Lady won when hooded first time and the effect has worn off, while Pharoh Jake had his winning spree at the backend of last year and is still paying for it.

So I come back to Steelcut, always a Spring horse, and the four-year-old Catflip, comparatively unexposed and back to the minimum for the first time since that close up third to Alpha Delta Whiskey.

The problem I have with Catflap is that he might not have a trip. He seems to lack the pace for 5f and stays on as if 6f is best which, so far, is debatable.

Steelcut is now 5lb below his last winning mark and the booking of Paul Hanagan looks significant. He was 5.1 on BETDAQ early doors.

7.30 Kempton (Commission Free 1st Month At Betdaq Handicap) Drama free, I think not, despite the small turn-out.

It’s called a handicap but the runners are only 2lb apart. Can we beat that old equalizer, the official handicapper? Well, there might be an edge in one of the trio of unexposed three-year-olds, all previous winners despite only five races between them.

Red Runaway did just that on this course in August but that was over a mile and Ed Dunlop’s don’t usually come to their reappearance run fully wound up.

Of the two who’ve had one run, one win, Magical Kingdom’s was here over 11f and, though not impressive, the word from his trainer was.

He told the Racing Post that day: ‘I thought he would need the run as he’s a big horse but it was’t the strongest of races. He´s a gorgeous horse and is bred to stay so w’ll look to go up in trip maybe. He’s a lengthener rather than a quickener.’

That comment contains the implicit comments ‘should be even better next time’ and ‘will improve for a trip.’ Well, here he is.

8.00 Kempton (Betdaq 1st UK Commission Free-Everyday Handicap) Paul Cole has been in good form with his few runners these winter months (oh is it Spring? Sorry, I hadn’t noticed).

And his runner, Intermix, turned over an odds-on shot on the Deauville fibresand in December. As with soft-ground winner and now-gelded Jubilee Games, you wonder if today’s surface is ideal.

Erodium won at Lingfield and has obviously improved over the winter. He’s gone clear in the market this morning, and Richard Hannon’s often don’t stop, once they start winning.

Being cut over the winter may also boost the chances of Royal Prize, but I wouldn’t blame you for going place only, on the grounds that it’s almost impossible to kick Ralph Beckett’s runners out of the frame right now.

But the stable’s current form (432010233) suggests Team Beckett is missing strike, with five of those losers at 5-2 or shorter. Not for me.

The one that appeals to me for a royal winner is Inaugural, with Roger Charlton having had his first winner of the year recently.

The Queen’s Invincible Spirit three-year-old is another to have been gelded over the winter and any step up on his maiden form would get him involved here in his first handicap.

Red To Amber is another unexposed and the Redback colt’s win in February, given a break to recover, could be sufficient to see him score again here.

8.30 Kempton (Winners Are Welcome At Betdaq Fillies’ Handicap) Though I don’t normally fancy last-time winners, it has to be said that Sweet Ovation only had to be pushed out to score at Lingfield on the last day, and that, despite a 6lb hike, she is still 2lb lower than when scoring just over a year ago.

That was when she put back-to-back wins together, first leg at Wolverhampton, so she can do it, and she doesn’t seem dependent on any particular AW surface. Hayley Turner’s only ride of the evening.

Sister Guru has also won at Lingfield and has had 10 weeks off to try to overcome any bounce factor, that being her first race since October 2011.

Shumthing wrong shumwhere, though, with all that time off, so I shall swerve her.

Rose Garnet has the power drive of Richard Hughes but it failed to work the oracle eights days ago when he took over from an apprentice.

With Rose Garnet getting only place money, stuck on a rating of 58 for four consecutive races, Tony Carroll puts on a first-time hood.

On the filly, I mean. But, since Tony has only a 10% strike rate with first-time blinds, they could well apply to him, as ‘feeling in the dark’ with this filly.
