Lazio are unbeaten in three games against Juventus this season and after battling to a 1-1 draw with Roma in the Rome derby last week will be confident of maintaining that record versus their rivals this evening.
However, despite their success against the Old Lady this term, Lazio haven’t beaten Juventus in the league since December 2003. Since then, today’s visitors to the Stadio Olimpico have won 11 and drawn five of those meetings.
Juve sit eight points clear at the top of Serie A and will certainly want to banish the disappointment of midweek when they went down 2-0 to Bayern Munich to complete a 4-0 aggregate defeat and exit the Champions League.
Antonio Conte’s side have lost only one of their last eight away games in the league, winning five in the process and their record of ten away wins is two better than Inter Milan’s next best of eight.
Juventus have recorded five wins and a draw in the last six Serie A matches, while Lazio have won only two of their last five home games, losing two. On the other hand, Lazio have won just two of their last 11 Serie A fixtures.
