2:40 Go And Go Round Tower Stakes (Group 3) (2yo, Class 1, 6f, 9 runners)
This is not a race in which Aidan O’Brien has done well in historically but it would be a major surprise if Great White Eagle wasn’t good enough.
Trading at around 1.4 on BETDAQ pre-race, he is so short after a commanding debut at Naas where he beat the favourite Gold Peregrine with ease. It’s solid form as the FOUR in behind were all previous winners and the trainer reports him as being in “good form” as he heads for his second start on the racecourse.
3:40 Dance Design Stakes (Fillies’ Group 3) (3yo+, Class 1, 1m 1f, 7 runners)
Along Came Casey landed a winning nap for the column when winning a Listed race at Gowran Park last time out – for which she was well backed. She holds several of these on that form including Say. I think Along Came Casey will win again but looks too tight in the market so no bet for me here.
4:15 Moyglare Stud Stakes (Fillies’ Group 1) (2yo, Class 1, 7f, 7 runners)
The market is pointing towards a match between Kiyoshi and Tapestry who have both won their last two starts. Kiyoshi won the Group 3 Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot despite being slowly away and veering badly right in the closing stages. However, she showed an impressive turn of foot to win the race with ease. Tapestry has won both her starts by narrow margins and handled the step-up in class to win the Debutante Stakes last time out. I just prefer Kiyoshi who looks to have the scope for the most improvement.
