BETDAQ have unveiled a Special offer for the Oaks and Derby ahead of the Epsom Classic on Friday and Saturday.

There are six trainers with runners in both races and if one of them completes the Double on the two, BETDAQ will refund all Commission on both races.

Since 1985, the double has happened on five occasions, with three of those since 1999 courtesy of Sir Henry Cecil and Aidan O’Brien twice each while Saeed Bin Suroor also claimed the feat in 1995 with Lammtarra and Moonshell.

Aidan O’Brien goes into this year’s Derby with hot favourite, Australia and while the majority of the spotlight has been firmly fixed on the son of Ouija Board, O’Brien also has a strong hand in the Oaks the day before.

The master of Ballydoyle boasts the rare record of having saddled the winner of the Oaks and Derby at Epsom in the same year and having done this twice, it makes it even more special.

In addition, O’Brien is also bidding to become the first trainer in history to win the Epsom Derby three years in a row having won in 2012 with Camelot and Ruler of the World 12 months ago.

Saeed Bin Suroor is the only other modern day trainer to have done this unique double with Lammtarra and Moonshell winning both races in 1995.

Both Bin Suroor and O’Brien hold strong hands in both races this time around. If you’re having a bet, BETDAQ who are offering 0% Commission on the two Classic races if the same trainer wins both and all you need to do is have a bet in both races with the promotional code OAKSDERBY14.

Joining O’Brien and Bin Suroor in the two Epsom Classics are Dermot Weld, John Gosden, Ed Dunlop and Peter Chapple-Hyam so this year looks to have a strong possibility of seeing the same trainer win both.
Australia is currently heading the BETDAQ Market for the Derby while his stable companion, Marvellous, impressive winner of the Irish 1,000 Guineas has been strongly supported into second favourite for the Oaks.

Ihtimal provides the opening leg of a possible double for Bin Suroor who then relies on True Story in the Derby and although he disappointed in the Dante, connections remained quietly confident after the race despite defeat.

Curragh based, Weld is not known as a man who will send a horse for a race for the sake of it and he has been very vocal on how keen he is to run both Tarfasha and Fascinating Rock, however Tarfasha’s participation is dependent on the going being right.

Of the remaining trio of Ed Dunlop, Peter Chapple-Hyam and John Gosden, the latter appears to have the most feasible looking opportunity with the long time Oaks favourite Taghrooda, while he is set to run Western Hymn in the Derby.

A maximum field of 17 will assemble for both the Oaks with 16 in the Derby and with six trainers in with a shout of the unique Oaks/Derby Double, BETDAQ – The Sports Betting Exchange looks to have a great offer on the cards with 0% Commission if the Double is done.
