CARABAO CUP SEMI FINAL TUESDAY: We preview Tuesday’s Carabao Cup Semi-Final 2nd Leg between ASTON VILLA v LEICESTER with a recommended BETDAQ bet and extended match stats.

ASTON VILLA V LEICESTER

7.45pm It’s crunch time in the Carabao Cup semi-finals this week! With Manchester City effectively already through after hammering Manchester United away from home; this tie becomes the focus. Villa managed a 1-1 draw away from home in the first leg and with Leicester’s form slipping a little lately the home side will surely fancy their chances of getting to the final.

The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Aston Villa 4.7, Leicester 1.76 and the draw is 4.4. Aston didn’t have a game at the weekend in the FA Cup, so they’ve had plenty of time to fully prepare for this fixture. A League Cup final would be a massive achievement for a club like Villa and there’s no doubt this will have been a priority since they got through the Quarter Finals. They had a huge win against Watford in the Premier League at the bottom of the table and they should play for confidence.

Leicester got back to winning ways at home to West Ham after a poor run of form in the Premier League. They won away at the weekend in the FA Cup, but we should see a full strength side tonight. They have struggled since losing to Manchester City and Liverpool in the league, perhaps a dent to their confidence after mixing it with the big boys towards the top of the table. They’ve lost to Burnley and Southampton since.

This is undoubtedly a massive game for both sides, and we can really see it being a lot closer than odds of 1.76 suggest on Leicester. From a value point of view, we’re very happy to lay the away side – Villa have had plenty of time to prepare, have home advantage and have been fighting hard in the Premier League recently. There’s plenty of reasons why they can get a result here and at the odds we’re happy to support them.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Leicester at 1.76.
