CARABAO CUP: We preview Thursday’s Carabao Cup game between MAN CITY v FULHAM with extended stats and a recommended BETDAQ bet.

MANCHESTER CITY V FULHAM

7.45pm Manchester City take on Fulham on Thursday night in the final game of the Last 16 in the Carabao Cup. This could be a very long night for Fulham as they have conceded 15 goals in their last four games heading into this tie – and City are in excellent form too! Since they returned after the International break they have scored nine goals in three games without conceding; the last one being a 1-0 win away to Spurs on a tricky pitch at Wembley.

The markets are expecting a very easy win for City with the match odds at the time of writing currently trading; Manchester City 1.13, Fulham 34.0 and the draw is 11.5. We’ve already seen this exact fixture in the Premier League this season with City running out 3-0 winners easily. It looked like they could score even more goals that day; and it’s fair to say that Guardiola may take the chance to rest a few of his star players here.

Even if Guardiola decided to rest some of the first XI; City have an excellent squad and they will still have enough firepower to blow Fulham away. Fulham have been struggling in the Premier League this season and sit down in 18th position with only five points from ten games. They will probably be focused on a Cup run to get some enjoyment out of their season however it’s hard to see anything but an easy City win here.

Fulham have been conceding too many goals in their recent games and we expect City to score heavily tonight. Any Other Home Win (City to score four or more and win) is trading 2.16 in the Correct Score market and that looks good value.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Any Other Home Win at 2.16.
