CARABAO CUP WEDNESDAY: We preview Wednesday’s Carabao Cup matches between LIVERPOOL V ARSENAL and CHELSEA V MANCHESTER UNITED with recommended BETDAQ bets and extended match stats.

LIVERPOOL V ARSENAL

7.30pm What a night of Carabao Cup action with some excellent fixtures! We start with Liverpool hosting Arsenal after a brilliant win here at the weekend against Spurs. Arsenal suffered more embarrassment after losing a two goal lead at home to Crystal Palace, and they seem to stumble from one drama to the next. They were reliable at home under Wenger, but that might be changing and now the fans might put the manager under pressure. A Cup game might be a welcome change, but it’s hard to see them beating Liverpool away from home.

The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Liverpool 1.89, Arsenal 4.2 and the draw is 4.0. Usually both managers would choose to rest some players here, however it’s hard to see Arsenal doing that after the weekend. They will need to bounce back quickly. Klopp is under no pressure at all and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him rest one or two of his stars – we still like the Liverpool price at 1.89 however. Liverpool have made Anfield a fortress in recent times and with Arsenal’s struggles away from home – the 1.89 looks massive. Liverpool have been immense this season and as we seen at the weekend, even when things go against them they can find a way to win.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Liverpool to beat Arsenal at 1.89.

  • Arsenal have been drawn away from home in a single-legged League Cup tie for the first time since September 2016 when they defeated Nottingham Forest 4-0.
  • Roberto Firmino has scored eight goals in nine appearances for Liverpool against Arsenal in all competitions, with seven of those coming across five games at Anfield.

CHELSEA V MANCHESTER UNITED

8.05pm A lot has changed since these two sides met on the opening day of the Premier League. Manchester United tonked Chelsea 4-0 that day at Old Trafford and most punters were questioning would Chelsea be good enough for the Top Six; let alone Top Four. Now a couple of months later, Chelsea are flying and although Manchester United won impressively at the weekend – that was a rare occasion. Now it’s United people are questioning can they finish in the Top Six. A Cup game is obviously a different dynamic but a win for either side would be a huge boost.

The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Chelsea 1.98, Manchester United 4.3 and the draw is 3.65. Chelsea look massive at 1.98 – they have been playing some good football heading into this fixture and although United picking up an away win at the weekend – they went eight Premier League away games without one prior to that. They haven’t impressed away from home in Europe either and while they did put Norwich to the sword, Chelsea away are a different animal. Chelsea are full of confidence and can continue their winning run – we like them at 1.98. The home wins would make a good double on the BETDAQ Sportsbook this evening.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
