DAQMAN’S SILENT REVOLUTION PICKING BIG-ODDS WINNERS: Daqman landed his nap on the last day’s racing with Silent Revolution (WON 11-10) and has a 13-10 lead over Pricewise going into Boxing Day after big-odds December winners in their challenge for value:

✔️ WON 16-1 CHATHAM STREET LAD
✔️ WON 12-1 MAKE GOOD
✔️ WON 13-2 BENNYS KING
✔️ WON 6-1 SONG FOR SOMEONE
✔️ WON 9-2 MISTER FISHER

IT’S JUST THE START OF TWO GREAT DAYS’ HOLIDAY RACING: Don’t go away! There’s the Ladbrokes’ Desert Orchid Chase at Kempton tomorrow, Future Champions Day at Leopardstown and bull’s-eye bets will be back for the Coral Welsh Grand National at Chepstow. Today’s headlines:

🔹 ENRILO LOOKS KAUTO STAR VALUE
🔹 SNOW STAMINA KEY TO WETHERBY
🔹 FELIX SET TO FEND OFF STAR AGAIN
🔹 PENCIL HIM IN AS A NEW FAUGHEEN
🔹 CYRNAME A DIFFERENT HORSE NOW

ENRILO LOOKS KAUTO STAR VALUE

⭕ 1.50 Kempton (Ladbrokes’ Kauto Star Novices’ Chase) Yes, we have a runner straight away from the Fortune Cookies early-bird list, Enrilo for Paul Nicholls at a morning 9.6 in the BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

Nicholls has won this race four times and it is remarkable that Enrilo takes the big leap into Grade-1 novices after his odds-on defeat of Darlac at Exeter.

Next time that one went clear, comfortably to win the Silver Buck at Wincanton in open handicap company.

Enrilo, a light-framed sort, had a holiday and comes to this on the right track, with the ground in his favour (good to soft at worst, I hope).

Enrilo’s main rival may be the dual Wetherby winner – by a total of 30 lengths – Shan Blue for Dan Skelton. Excellent jumper who will also like the ground.

The Big Breakaway (Colin Tizzard) tries to redeem himself after the shock long-odds-on defeat at Exeter three weeks back.

SNOW STAMINA KEY TO WETHERBY

⭕ 2.05 Wetherby (Rowland Meyrick Chase) You need a lot of faith in Canelo to back him here. In his only previous run over 3m, he was stone last, and he’s up 12lb on a novice-handicap success in November.

Snow Leopardess is also up 9lb for scoring at Haydock on the soft but that was over further than 3m after just two novice events, and the runner-up was set to win a Grade 3 at Cheltenham next time when making a mistake.

Spiritofthegames has kept much better company, second in last year’s December Gold Cup at Cheltenham before running well there in the Stable Plate at the festival.

He was runner-up last month in the Autumn Gold Cup, giving 11lb to the winner, Coole Cody.

In fact, all his quality chase form has been at Cheltenham; gives weight all round here and has that bridesmaid look, with his current-form sequence 2202. Cheekpieces may help Springtown Lake, who didn’t like the National fences the last day, but he’s giving weight to Snow Leopardess (BETDAQ 5.3).

FELIX SET TO FEND OFF STAR AGAIN

⭕ 2.15 Leopardstown Felix Desjy for Gordon Elliott has been left as the Fortune Cookies’ pick, having dropped Darver Star from the list.

Darver Star was a 160 to Felix’s 151 over hurdles but there was nearly 10 lengths between them at Punchestown over fences in November.

Trainer Gavin Cromwell is hopeful that his Star can bounce back to his chasing-debut delight earlier at Punchestown. A small wind op and better ground today could bring him right into the picture for a thrilling finish.

⭕ 2.25 Kempton (Ladbrokes Christmas Hurdle) Epatante won this and the Champion Hurdle last season, and the mare’s 2019 Champion flop is her sole defeat in nine starts since she stepped on to the racecourse more than three years ago.

Only Floressa’s ability against her is unknown and she is 18lb behind, according to the handicapper.

PENCIL HIM IN AS A NEW FAUGHEEN

⭕ 2.35 Limerick (Faugheen Novice Chase) Faugheen won the race last year making it three to Willie Mullins and two to Gordon Elliott in the last five seasons.

Asterion Forlange, one of three for Mullins, is following the path of many a top chaser; in the first four in the Supreme Novice Hurdle and a debut winner over fences, with the runner-up scoring 17 lengths next time.

But that runner-up was trained Gordon Elliottt, and his Pencilfulloflead (BETDAQ 4.5 taken this morning) is higher up the pecking order at Longwood and was hugely impressive in the Florida Pearl the last day.

CYRNAME A DIFFERENT HORSE NOW

⭕ 3.00 Kempton (Ladbrokes King George V1 Chase) DAQMAN’S ORDER IN:

1 Cyrname Paul Nicholls decision to run four gives him enough options in the conditions and in the running of the race to land his 12th King George. I must go with his improver.

Cyrname was 21-lengths second last year to Clan Des Obeaux, chasing the leaders on soft ground. A freegoing sort, he’s looked much better settling with the pace, and has also changed his training routine at Ditcheat, with powerful results.

Very smooth defeat of Vinndication in the Charlie Hall Chase at Wetherby, and the handicapper has taken this view of them up to today’s race: 176 Cyrname, 172 Santini, 171 Clan des Obeaux and Lostintranslation.

2 Clan Des Obeaux goes for a King George hat-trick, achieved only by Desert Orchid and Kauto Star in consecutive years.

He’s had two breaks since last year and wind surgery before and after a modest effort in the Gold Cup. Particularly well suited by today’s track, and so far stronger than Cyrname at the trip.

3 Frodon Yes, I think ‘a Michael Dickinson’ is on the cards. Michael had the first five home in the Gold Cup, but the first four for Paul is possible here, though Real Steel has to bounce back in a tongue-tie.

Frodon made all over 3m 1f at Cheltenham on top of the ground in October, and looked a Gold Cup horse that day, back to the form of his December Gold Cup, Cotswold Chase and Ryanair of 2018-19 (all for the Fortune Cookies!)

4 Santini Tricky Nicky Henderson is calling this supplementary entry a wild card and ‘just a thought over supper the other night’, but you’re talking about an RSA and Gold Cup runner-up who’s had a run back, second at Aintree earlier this month.
