CLASSIC DAQMAN TIPPING: NOW IT’S SEVEN: It’s been a long weekend for the layers. Daqman’s Friday-to-Sunday haul of winning bets extended to 10 yesterday, as he stormed 109 points up on Pricewise to one-point level stakes (32-8 on returns), adding the French Derby to a stunning list of seven Classic wins.

10-RACE SUMMER BID FOR MORE 25-1 HITS: Feature of a sensational weekend has been two 25-1 winners, Enable and Caspian Prince, which brought in a points haul of 373 points on Friday and Saturday. Here’s our report of:

THE SEVEN CLASSIC BAGS
HIS PICK OF THE WINNERS
10 SUMMER PUNTING DATES

Back to mundane meetings for a few days now. But you never can tell what Daqman can conjure from the cards, all the while with his ear to the ground planning future big-race coups.

DAQMAN LANDS SEVEN CLASSICS

BRAMETOT in the French Derby yesterday was Daqman’s seventh Classic winner inside little more than a month of ante-post punts, banker bets and tough betting decisions, which have helped towards hundreds of points of profit. Here they are in time order, with below, Daqman’s snapshot of the two Derbys at the weekend.

WON 6-4 CHURCHILL (2,000 Guineas banker)
WON 47-10 ALWAYS DREAMING (Kentucky Derby)
WON 9-1 WINTER (1,000 Guineas nap)
WON 4-9 CHURCHILL (Irish 2,000 top rating, multiples)
WON 8-13 WINTER (Irish 1,000 top rating, banker)
WON 6-1 ENABLE (Epsom Oaks, 25.0 on BETDAQ)
WON 17-10 BRAMETOT (French Derby)

ENABLE THE BEST OF THE BUNCH

I’m sold on a filly so far.. I’d certainly play up my 25-1 Enable winnings if she takes on the colts. Strong, willing, constantly improving, bred to do even better, she won the Oaks straight as a barrel, by the proverbial mile.

She has the right jockey and trainer to cut a dash at The Curragh, Royal Ascot or Chantilly, whichever is the target.

You can put her anywhere in a race and, when you press the button, you know there are several gears at your service.

Brametot’s late finish in the French Derby at Chantilly yesterday puts him in line for an Eclipse or a Champion Stakes, when he could meet the Epsom runner-up Cliffs Of Moher.

But Brametot may even be an Arc horse the way he came from last to first at Chantilly. It’s hard to think what would stop him at this stage, unless Wings Of Eagles can prove that Epsom was no fluke or Enrage can continue her charge. Yesterday English and Irish raiders were left standing and let the Epsom Derby form down badly.

Nothing of ours reached the frame and both Bay of Poets – previously placed in separate races behind Derby second and third, Cliffs Of Moher and Cracksman – and Rivet, second to Derby fourth Eminent in the Craven, were seventh and eighth.

The search is on for the answers. I’m hungry for more big-race winners from the punter-friendly haven of betting value called BETDAQ.

Here are my next major targets. Look out for ton-up and bull’s-eye bets, ante-post anticipation, previews and stats for every big race.

DON’T MISS DEBUTANT BOREAGH

2.20 Leicester Bargain basement filly Boreagh Lass has come out of a breeze up sale but is expected to know her job and is big enough to handle the ground should the forecast rain arrive (it’s now good to soft in places).

She has worked well and is good out of the gate. There was plenty of money overnight for her and she could easily go off favourite ahead of the experienced Porchy Party.

‘Porchy’ has finished fourth and second in two starts at Beverley and as well as the experience is expected to improve for the step up to six furlongs but I have to be with this interesting debutant Boreagh Lass in the opener.

4.55 Leicester It might be Leicester on a Monday but the class 3 conditions race at 4.55 has brought together fillies from some of the top yards. Roger Varian, Ed Dunlop, Ralph Beckett and John Gosden all have runners with only the Conrad Allen trained Voi looking outclassed.

Preference is for the lightly raced Gosden trained Present Tense who was well beaten here on debut but justified favouritism to win narrowly at Yarmouth last time out. The runner-up Gakku was well beaten in Listed company at Goodwood last time out but the pair pulled eight lengths clear at Yarmouth and there much be every chance that Present Tense can improve further.

Same Jurisdiction is the interesting runner, given she was a Grade 1 winner in her native South Africa but has been off the track for a while and so far hasn’t sparkled in her first two starts for Dunlop.

7.25 Ayr Best bet on the Ayr card looks to be The Mcgregornator in the six furlong handicap.

He was only pipped a short head over course and distance five days ago and it looks a case of striking whilst the iron is hot tonight with him racing off the same mark.

All his previous starts have been in Ireland and the faster ground might well be what he has been crying out for. Nap.
