BANKER LANDS CURRAGH GAMBLE: Daqman’s banker nap was the gamble of the day at The Curragh yesterday, in from the morning odds against on BETDAQ to score impressively in the Irish St Leger Trial: Order Of St George (WON 4-6).

BETDAQ RACES DOUBLE WHAMMY: Today’s nap is in one of five competitive Kempton Park races sponsored by BETDAQ this afternoon. Daqman tries a double whammy with a win and a lay in the first of them.

SHALAA COULD BE ANOTHER FRANKEL..

It’s the reign of good King John. Blue Chip, the next runner for his Clarehaven Stables – Lingfield Wednesday – would be an appropriate winner to take John Gosden’s home total for the season to the 100 mark.

And success for the stable’s highly-regarded Richard Pankhurst in Saturday’s Celebration Mile at Goodwood would send his winnings total past £4m.

Gosden Inc is a certainty to get a blue-chip quote if floated on the Stock Exchange and, after yesterday, you’d get very short odds about Clarehaven for champion stable again in 2016.

That Aidan O’Brien has £2m prizemoney won in England and the Richards, Fahey and Hannon, share 315 winners between them would suggest that this is any other season.

But for Gosden to have the two Derby winners – England (Golden Horn) and Ireland (Jack Hobbs) – and to double the Ballydoyle total is extraordinary by any standards.

Such is the quality in the yard that he’s done this with 60 turf winners against an 86 total for last season, which means that this week’s march on to the £4m is actually playing catch-up!

Then yesterday in France, his Invincible Spirit colt Shalaa stamped himself king of the winter jungle of betting on next year’s Classics.

His Prix Morny success over the Robert Papin winner Gutaifan (Hannon) off a rating of 120 must now be increased to within around 7lb of Golden Horn, officially – at weight for age – more than his equal in any form book.

We saw American two-year-old Acapulco run second in the Nunthorpe in receipt of 25lb from the three-year-old which finished third, but his nominal 121 rating is behind Shalaa’s.

Shalaa had already won the July Stakes and the Richmond Stakes juvenile tests as part of his four in a row since the end of May.

It’s a sensational start for Al Shaqab, the new kids on the block in British racing, and a golden horizon for Frankie Dettori, celebrating one of the great comebacks in the history of the sport.

Dettori nominated him ‘the best two-year-old I’ve ever ridden’ while Gosden wondered if the colt’s natural aggression and speed make him a sprinter not a Classic horse.

That’s what they said about Frankel until he achieved a 123 rating in the Royal Lodge Stakes, which is run a month later than yesterday’s Morny. Then he was hiked to 126 in the Dewhurst.

What improvement can Shalaa make this year and next? The Middle Park Stakes is currently nominated as his final run of the season. But, go on Gosden, have a go at the Dewhurst! Surely you haven’t got something better at home..

ABLE DASH LOVES THE KEMPTON COURSE

2.45 Kempton Park (Betdaq.com 50% Commission Refund Nursery Handicap) Last year’s winner had finished 15 lengths in rear at 66-1 earlier in August.

That’s the sort of improvement we might get from one of these two-year-olds, which are rated between 46 and 63. Yes, the class war starts early for racehorses!

Harry Dunlop (Incredible Thunder) and William Muir (York Minster) are each on a hat-trick mission after two winners between Friday and Sunday, and Sir Mark Prescott would be three out of four if Cote D’Azur scored.

Premier Currency for Richard Hannon is the only horse with winning form but Karl Burke, who came away from Deauville with a Group-1 win for Odeliz, can expect Little Lotte to turn around early Kempton placings with Premier Currency on 10lb better terms.

Captain Gerald is also weighted for revenge on the same horse for form over today’s Kempton CD since the Little Lotte race.

What worries me about these obvious links is that the third horse home on the last day had been well beaten in a seller 10 days earlier, and had a back view of York Minster a grade higher than today at Chepstow.

With Premier Currency at 2.9 in the BETDAQ orange this morning and York Minster at 9.2, there is no doubt where my money is going.

3.15 Kempton Park (Betdaq.com £20 Free Bet Maiden Stakes) Esteemable and Cancellara were adrift of Power Game over the Kempton CD three weeks ago.

Power Game looks the likely winner, though the worry for those taking the odds is what Feng Shui and Ost Wind can produce on their first runs of the season.

4.45 Kempton Park (Cash Out On The Betdaq App Handicap) Jeremy Noseda (Depth Charge), Charlie Fellowes (Classical Rose), Christine Dunnett (Sinema) and Pat Phelan (Alfie The Pug) are all out of form but have two rat the front of this market.

Duke Of North has had a year off but has been gelded and is saddled by a stable which had two winners at Kempton last Wednesday. I had a tad of the 6.2 offers.

5.15 Kempton Park (Download Free Trading Software On betdaqtraders.com Handicap) Though he’s five, Able Dash has had only 10 starts, three of them consecutive wins over today’s Kempton CD.

His stable hit form with a well-backed winner on Saturday, and he looks sure to go well after a break. I took 4.3 on BETDAQ.

The worry, of course, is that a three-year-old will step up, with Prescience lightly raced, and Isamol (the early-mouse market mover) blinkered first time.

5.45 Kempton Park (Betdaq – We’re Serious About Horses Fillies’ Handicap) Mark Johnston (Sur Empire) has a very modest strike rate right now, and Patrick Chamings (Foxford) is missing strike badly.

Chamings form is 22322 in the last two weeks, with four of the five well backed, including two at 13-8 (one favourite) and one at 15-8 favourite. I smell burning fingers!

James Doyle takes over from an apprentice on Balayage for Marco Botti, and blinkers first time could make the difference.

First-time hood didn’t quite do the trick for Acquittal under BETDAQ columnist Hayley Turner on the last day and she may have to play second fiddle again.
