FOUR EXPLOSIVE NAPS END 2018: DAQMAN has set off his end of year fireworks early. He moved on to FOUR WINNING NAPS in a row yesterday when his NAP Scorpion Sid WON EVENS. From just three bets on Sunday he also found a 5/2 WINNER with Railway Junkie. And he was just a nose away from a 23/1 treble when his other bet Ventriloquist was pipped by the minimum margin at 5/2 at Lingfield – headed on the post. The winning naps run is now:

WON EVENS SCORPION SID (nap, Sunday)
WON 11-2 AMOURI GLEAM (nap, Saturday)
WON 5-4 LET RIP (supernap, Friday)
WON 8-13 APPLES JADE (supernap, Friday)

2018 AND ALL THAT: BETDAQ GETS BIGGER AND BETTER: Best for the bettor, best for winners, and bigger than ever. That was the story of 2018 on the BETDAQ site, while top tipster Daqman honed his service to expert form and facts analysis, and a winning formula for horses to follow and value bets. He pledges a big future in 2019, as he picks his final flings in the old year.

STAY WITH DAQMAN’S WINNING FORMULA

TOMORROW: NEW YEAR, OLD GLORY: Why change a winning formula. Daqman has had a sensational 2018, mixing winning outsiders with a string of short-odds supernaps, and tomorrow will be no different.

How does he do it? Daqman’s tipping is totally transparent. Whether at BETDAQ offers or SP, every horse, every bet, every stake in his unique plan is given in black and white, and all results are determined to that stake or – in the case of lists to follow or value challenges – to level stakes.

Throughout the coming year, he will explain his methods and update his tipping according to the time of year.

For example, his Fortune Cookies for the Spring festivals are due shortly, after testing a series of horses to follow which have amassed more than 500 points profit.

Current scores:
Daqman 12, Pricewise 5
Horses to follow: 564 points profit
Naps: FOUR in a row (two supernaps)
A review of 2018 will be published later in the week.

CHEERS! GIN TOAST BEFORE MIDNIGHT

12.10 Lingfield Before we raise a glass to 2019, DAQMAN is pre-occupied with finding another winning nap to extend his run to FIVE WINNING NAPS IN A ROW and start the New Year on a continuing sequence.

So let’s hope Gin Palace can bring festive cheer and an early toast of New Year prosperity. The Eve Johnson Houghton trained runner has improved with each start, running his best race yet when dropped down to today’s seven furlong trip at Kempton last time out and was beaten just a length into third by the odds-on Carnival Rose.

He’s been given a rating of 74 and doesn’t appear to have much to beat here from those with experience unless they spring significant improvement.

The fly in the ointment is the debutant Crackling from the Martyn Meade stable who have sent out three winners from four runners this month – including a debutant. Crackling went for 25,000euros as a yearling so the hope has to be that he isn’t above average and the level of form set by Gin Palace has pitched the bar at a high enough level.

1.05 Uttoxeter Ardlethen, a winning point to pointer, fell on his hurdling debut at Bangor when looking held. It was in a weaker looking race than this one, so I wouldn’t be keen to take short odds about the Dan Skelton trained runner who may have a better future (if he sharpens up his jumping) over fences.

Halloween Harry looks a very sensible alternative. He was a good third to Newtide on his hurdling debut at Haydock and the winner has run well at Ascot since.

3.05 Warwick Keeping the liquid theme on New Year’s Eve, it’s been a long time between drinks for supporters of Vivaccio. He hasn’t won since 2014.

However he has generally been racing at a higher level and has dropped a further 4lb. So even with top weight here, he looks very interesting.

Lady Master was a facile winner at Wetherby and the 7lb penalty may not halt her progress. She looks the danger.

Happy New Year to all readers.
