FIVE SUCCESSFUL LAYS IN A ROW FOR DAQMAN: And he takes on another short priced favourite on BETDAQ this afternoon with picks from Exeter and Sandown.

The sun is out so let’s try and make some hay while we can.

1.00 Exeter Philip Hobbs, responsible for Fingal Bay here, has saddled Lead On (2007) and Tarablaze (2010) to win this in the last five years. Fingal should add to those stats but at current odds of 1.09 on BETDAQ you don’t need DAQMAN to tell you that !!

1.10 Sandown Just one 9-year-old has won this and Prince Buster is unlikely to add to that: he’s been placed in eight of his 10 completed races without winning, but who would dare call his namesake, Bustamente Campbell, a bridesmaid! Thanks For Coming looks the likely winner – as Nicky Henderson hopes to start Tingle Creek weekend with a winner. Sprinter Sacre is of course the stable star performer of the weekend and you can get my views on the race CLICK HERE

1.30 Exeter (Devon Marathon) There have been strong weight-carrying performances in the last three seasons, with all winners off 11-7 to 11-10 but only one was younger than eight, which has always been the way of it in this and in many marathons. The Kim Bailey trained Lord Tomnoddy can continue the trend and he fits the stats.

1.45 Sandown Some decent horses have won this – Inglis Drever, Neptune Collonges – and all bar one were known to the punter. Every winner, but one at 11-2, has been 3-1 or less at SP in the last decade.

You’re ‘on the bubble’ but, if you get on early on Southfield Theatre in the BETDAQ orange, you could be pinching a point. Paul Nicholls’ runners at 4-1 or shorter (SP) since 2004 have finished 11232, in this with one of those placed horses beaten at odds on.

2.20 Sandown This is called the Future Stars Chase but it’s not really been worth that title since the victory of Lacdoudal (2005), the subsequent Sandown Gold Cup winner. Bold Sir Brian looks a little short in the BETDAQ market today – hovering around the even money mark. The ground was bottomless when he won at Carlisle and in a race that’s likely to develop into a tactical affair he has three rivals all of which can be given a chance. In that context evens is a lay rather than a back.

DAQMAN’S BETS:
BET: 4.2 points win (NAP) Lord Tomnoddy (1.30 Exeter)
LAY TO WIN 10 points: Bold Sir Brian (2.20 Sandown)

* Daqman’s bets are staked to win 20 points, so you know the offer he took (20 divided by the stake). Daq Value bets today are in races between 106 and 110% total probability in the offers at the time of writing.
