DAQMAN NAP WAS 6.4 ON BETDAQ: Daqman, who landed a high-stakes supernap on Thursday, finished ahead on the day, Friday, with 6.4 about a 9-4 winner to give him back-to-back naps.

WON 9-4 ELECTRIC STORM (Friday nap) BETDAQ 6.4 taken
WON 1-2 ROYAL RHYME (Thursday supernap)

GUINEAS: HANNON v BALLYDOYLE: It’s unquestionable. Today must be comeback day for Aidan O’Brien, who has a dismal record in the 2024 Classics so far. He lines up three colts (Mountain Bear, River Tiber and Unquestionable) against Richard Hannon (Rosallion and Haatem) in the Irish version of the 2,000 Guineas he lost at Newmarket.

O’BRIEN: LOVE HIM OR HAATEM?

⭕ 3.40 Curragh (Irish 2,000 Guineas) RATINGS AND FORM: See Wednesday’s Daqman. STATS: Nine of the last 10 winners have come from stalls 1 to 6, the last five out of 1, 2, 2, 1, 3. Every winner was rated 105 or over; 8 out of 10 had at least one run; 8 out of 10 ran in the last 26 days. Recent form and Curragh experience a must.

AIDAN O’BRIEN has saddled 12 previous winners but must break the stats today with first-time-out players Mountain Bear, River Tiber and Unquestionable. He also has to overturn his Classic form so far:

City Of Troy 9th Newmarket 2,000 Guineas (‘maybe it’s the way I trained him’); Diego Velazquez 4th, Henry Longfellow 8th French 2,000 Guineas (‘tactical error’); Ylang Ylang 5th Newmarket 1,000 Guineas; Content 8th French 1,000 Guineas.

114 UNQUESTIONABLE Close family not won beyond 7f. Not raced for 204 days. Won only his maiden at the Curragh. Drawn in stall 2. Beaten by Rosallion (readily) in the Lagardere at Longchamp in the autumn.

Too keen that day at Longchamp; so given his head, soon clear to beat stablemate Mountain Bear in the Breeders Cup Juvenile turf (firm). Has had a setback and will improve for the run, says O’Brien.

112 RIVER TIBER Not bred for a mile. Not raced for 238 days. Not run at the Curragh. No form beyond 6f. Drawn in stall 5.

110 MOUNTAIN BEAR Related to winners up to 1m 4f. Won only his maiden at the Curragh. Drawn in stall 8. ‘Will improve plenty for the race,’ says the trainer.

RICHARD HANNON has saddled no previous 2,000 winners at the Curragh.

Stable runners in the Classics so far this season: Rosallion 2nd Newmarket 2,000 Guineas, Haatem 3rd Newmarket 2,000 Guineas; Star Style 15th Newmarket 1,000 Guineas.

117 ROSALLION Related to winners up to 1m 2f. Second in the Newmarket 2,000 Guineas; in front too soon. Not raced at the Curragh. Drawn in stall 6.

113 HAATEM His jockey, Jamie Spencer, won this race on Haatem’s sire, Phoenix Of Spain, when the going was good to firm.

Haatem is unraced at the Curragh. Third in the Newmarket 2,000 Guineas. Drawn in stall 7.
Betdaq Betting Exchange : The morning market says that only River Tiber (5.1) has a chance against Rosallion (1.82 favourite), who has the ground in his favour. Good to firm also favours Unquestionable but he’s had a setback so Haatem (8.4) is the better place bet.

THREE OUTSIDERS IN 15 MINUTES

⭕ 1.15 Haydock (Silver Bowl) Blue Lemons starts the day for Richard Hannon. He was giving away 5lb when a close second in the Esher Cup, and the third colt home went on to be runner-up in the Italian Derby.

Candonomore won his maiden here over CD on soft and has a lenient launch into handicaps off 81, giving him 8st 5lb.

The gelding called Nellie (Nellie Leylax) is not well treated with Condonomore on October’s York form when outsider Apiarist beat them both. He is my outsider and there are two more within a quarter of an hour at Goodwood.

BETDAQ value 6.1 Candonomore, 9.2 Blue Lemons, 16.5 Apiarist

⭕ 1.30 Goodwood Only Silvestre De Sousa has been able to beat a draw higher than 6 in this. He managed to manoeuvre his mount from the outside stall 11 into a lead and make all.

Who can we trust to do that kind of thing in this big field? Luke Morris (Dragon Leader) and Tom Marquand (Blue Prince) have both won the race before.

But I’m putting up two in the category HIDDEN HORSE, Robbo (BETDAQ 18.0), who can get to the front from his good draw and stay there as he did impressively the last day at Chelmsford.

And the other is Monfrid (BETDAQ 11.0) , also low drawn and reckoned a future stakes horse, better than a handicapper.

DIAMOND IN THE HAYDOCK ROUGH

⭕ 1.50 Haydock (Temple Stakes) A tight Group-2 sprint on the soft, with the market a good guide. Aussie mare Asfoora is testing the turf with Royal Ascot in mind.

Vadeam went close earlier this month in the Palace House Stakes, which he won last year when the ground was soft at Newmarket.

Beautiful Diamond was third in the Palace House when favourite, and the stable won the Temple last year with a three-year-old. BETDAQ 6.9.

Rogue Lightning was a close fifth in the Abbaye after a hat-trick, mainly in handicaps. Live In The Dream won the Nunthorpe in a hot streak on firm.

⭕ 2.05 Goodwood (Height Of Fashion Stakes) Traditionally, the final Oaks trial, the last of any value coming when Snow Fairy (2010) went on to take both the Irish Oaks and the Epsom Oaks for Ed Dunlop.

Where I Wanna Be might have a tricky draw in 10 but is related to 1m 6f winners and was smart enough to win over a mile as a two-year-old, developing late in the season. A typical Ralph Beckett filly; 10.5 on BETDAQ.

INSHERIN SHOWS OFF THE GUINEAS

⭕ 2.25 Haydock (Sandy Lane Stakes) Inisherin gives a clue to the Irish Guineas, after his sixth, leading at this 6f (Rosallion 2nd), in the Newmarket Guineas.

Purosangue is Listed level, beaten by Esquire at York (soft) in October. Esquire was able to step up to win the Greenham (Group 3) in April over 7f.

The grey Vandeek is a league above these on form (won the Morny and Middle Park). He carries a penalty here but should win with his 119 rating.

The snag is that his stable is badly out of form, missing strike with two hot favourites beaten in a current score of 1-19. Both Inisherin (5.4) and Esquire (12.0) appeal on this year’s form.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
