Saturday’s profit: 48.75.

TODAY AT THE CURRAGH: IRISH LINCOLNSHIRE LAUNCHES THE FLAT: More details tomorrow. Meanwhile Daqman immediately turns his attention to the Flat, with the turf season under starter’s orders today at The Curragh, with the Irish Lincolnshire and bets at 21.0, 7.4 and 4.5 on the BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE. Then look out for his countdown to the Doncaster Lincoln Handicap next Saturday.

21.0 RED WOLF EATS UP GROUND

⭕ 4.10 The Curragh (Irish Lincolnshire) STATS: DRAW The last four Curragh winners by stall have been 5, 3, 3, 1 yet, before the track was upgraded, 16, 14, 15, 18 had won (2011-14).

Sometimes they cling to the bend: at others they might go across to the middle or even to the other rail looking for the better ground. That’s why a high stall could be best on heavy.

CHECK market moves by comparing offers on screen now with those in brackets below.
TRAINERS – Ger Lyons, has trained the winner twice in the last four years.
JOCKEYS – Gary Carroll (In From The Cold) rode two consecutively (2017-18).
HIDDEN HORSES – Hard to know what to make of Casanova and Bunbury Cup third Godhead, both movers from John Gosden’s yard to Adrian McGuinness.

1: Gee Rex (stall 18, Emmet Mullins, 4.5 BETDAQ). Three out of four for Joseph O’Brien in the autumn – all under Mikey Sheehy – cost him only a 5lb rise. Placed twice in three starts over hurdles for new yard which has 5-13 strike rate in the last month.

2: Maker Of Kings (11, Ger Lyons, 7.4 BETDAQ this morning). Broke his maiden under champion-jockey Colin Keane last June; has been gelded since beaten favourite over today’s CD in October.

3: Lobo Rojo (4, Jessica Harrington, 21.0 BETDAQ) Big horse whose name means Red Wolf, is expected to race at around 1m 4f, but unexposed and galloper who eats up the ground. Jessica Harrington also saddles Protagonist (well in with Maker Of Kings) but he has no form on soft-heavy ground. Also in alpha order:

4: Teed Up (6, Ken Condon, 8.1 BETDAQ). Three-out-of-four sequence completed in the autumn, two of them at Galway in deep ground; favourite in all four.

Agitare (24, Kevin Manning, 18.5 BETDAQ) Fourth in the Irish Cambridgeshire here to Laughifyouwant (25, Gerard Keane, 21.0 BETDAQ)

Casanova (17, Ado McGuinness, 14.0 BETDAQ) Dual winner for John Gosden in the summer of 2019; had 2020 off and joined Adrian McGuinness, third at Dundalk in January.

Godhead (23, Ado McGuinness, 16.0 BETDAQ) Two out of three last year; also recruited from John Gosden and, gelded, also given a recent run at Dundalk. Third in the 2020 Bunbury Cup and big chance if taking to the ground.

In From The Cold (2, Michael Mulvany, 27.0 BETDAQ): Goes well fresh and won the three-year-old handicap over 7f on this card a year ago. Then fired 11 blanks until scoring there again (1m 2f) when last seen in November.

Layfayette (5, Noel Meade, 14.5 BETDAQ) Winner at Naas (1m 2f) and held his form up to 1m 4f without winning again; cheekpieces now, and may need further.

Mirann (12, Johnny Murtagh, 20.0 BETDAQ) Raced mainly 1m 4f to 1m 6f but won dropped back to 10 furlongs on good ground.

Star of Cashel (1, Fozzy Stack, 30.0 BETDAQ) Stable landed a gamble at Dundalk on Friday.

NAP START FOR AIDAN O’BRIEN

⭕ 3.05 The Curragh Duke Of Mantua (BETDAQ 2.72 nap) is Aidan O’Brien’s first recognisable runner of the season here today; three others on the card from Ballydoyle are maidens.

Third on the debut to subsequent Dewhurst winner, St Mark’s Basilica, the Duke opened his account at Gowran Park in September; second, third and fourth were all winners in the weeks that followed.

That win attained for him a 104 rating, which means he’s giving away up to 22lb in a race the stable won in 2019 with subsequent Guineas Trial winner at Leopardstown, Never No More, who raced off 107 that day.

Erzindjan, Fourhometwo, Laelaps and Keeper Of Time all adventured into Group level in their first season without showing any particular ability to earn there. But all were two-year-olds; any one could step forward in the second season.

⭕ 3.25 Carlisle Ten-year-olds have a huge advantage in veterans’ handicaps at this time of year, and top and bottom of the weights could fight it out.

Captain Chaos (BETDAQ 3.35) made all in a Listed at Ascot over the 3m on soft, whereas Duke Debarry, who goes well fresh, has won here over 2m 4f but was a 3m winner only on a sound surface.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
