11-2 DAQMAN BULL’S EYE! A FINE 50-POINT HIT TO START 2020: Daqman’s doing fine in 2020 and the new year is just one day old! His very first race of the Twenties had a winning bull’s-eye bet at 11-2. Then he went 245 points clear of Pricewise with a 5-1 hit which widened the gap between them to 23-11.

MATCHING EARLY-MOUSE OFFERS GETS YOU BIGGER PROFITS: As part of Daqman’s 2020 Vision, he returns to yesterday’s Daqman Library display of big winners and lists some that didn’t make it to the top of the list but do so now if you count their BETDAQ offers taken on the morning of the race.

CORNERING THE BETDAQ VALUE BONUS

2019 BIG-RACE WINNERS
WON 14.0 DASHING WILLOUGHBY SP 6-1 (Queen’s Vase, Royal Ascot)
WON 11.5 POTTERS CORNER SP 8-1 (Coral Welsh Grand National)
WON 9.8 BURROWS SAINT SP 6-1 (Irish Grand National)

Hey Daqman! What’s the game? Those three winners are already named in your Library as 8-1 and 6-1 (twice) winners!

Agreed; but they were listed at SP. I do that and record their returns to a level stake, because punters like to see whether particular bets can make a profit with the same stake, so they feel confident in the ‘system’ and can try working up more profit from their own staking plan.

But look again at the results at left of each name. They were BETDAQ offers taken at the time of making the Daqman selections (as stated in the analysis on the day).

That reveals the bonus value in taking an early position on BETDAQ (you’ll see many examples in previous years in the Library lists)

In these three cases combined, the value edges added up to a 12.3 points bonus. Like having a free bet on an extra winner at more than 11-1!

TOMORROW: building a bonus into BETDAQ betting every day

TRICKY FOR ME: YOURS LOOKS GOOD

2.40 Ayr Stuart Crawford, who has won this stayers’ hurdle twice in four seasons, saddles Fine Rightly, who is on a lone mission from Northern Ireland.

A winner three times at Ayr, he hasn’t been seen since third in the race last year, his only run last season. He has obviously been prepared for another tilt but, at 12, needs everything to go right for him.

Better Getalong took three Ayr races in a row up to this time last year, though none were beyond 2m.

Strong Economy appears here as often as the starter’s hack. He’s 1-15 at Ayr and your best economic option is to steer clear.

Portrush Ted is going for a hat-trick after winning a bumper on his first start in the Spring of 2018, then scoring at Perth in his first hurdle.

But he has had his problems, doesn’t see a racecourse very often and has to give weight all round on this handicap debut, so all in all his 3.8 offers as favourite on BETDAQ this morning come up a bit short for me.

Eternally Yours is another who doesn’t stand much racing and he’s failed to improve his rating in the last year.

The other side of that coin is that at least he’s been holding his form, and he’s never been out of the first two on soft/heavy (1212). At seven, he’s unexposed after only eight starts, and I took 5.7.

Taxmeifyoucan actually drops a grade here after winning a class 2 at Carlisle before Christmas, but it was a nothing race, and his trainer hasn’t had an Ayr winner for three years. A tricky contest.

WE CAN WIN AGAIN WITH WATCHABLE

5.30 Chelmsford Watchable had a tremendous 2019 with five wins, including at this level (class 2) at Epsom. Can the 10-year-old hold his form one more time and complete a hat-trick today?

Watchable has never won this high in the ratings (99) in all his 51 starts but the opposition is no great shakes and 4.9 was a fair offer on BETDAQ this morning.

Tawny Port, 2-2 on fibresand, has never enjoyed polytrack, and his stable may have a better chance with Street Parade, the youngster of the race who has just had a wind op.

Corinthia Knight and Kick On Kick On have been brought together now by the handicapper on their running at Wolverhampton in November.

Corinthia Knight was a fair third at Wolver on Boxing Day. Cheekpieces now and being claimed off could tilt the rematch in his favour.

Piere-Louis Jamin (7) narrowly failed to turn over a 12-1 on shot at the Southwell 5f yesterday and no doubt can’t wait to have a crack at another sprint with this nine times AW winner.
