10-1 STRIKE AND 9-4 NAP UP IN THREE CONSECUTIVE WINNERS: Daqman, who completed 27 winning bets in 11 days last week, is on another winning run which started on Sunday. LEGER: DONNACHA’S ON SIR DRAGONET

⚠️ HEADS UP! Day 2 of Doncaster today with the news that Donnacha O’Brien will ride Sir Dragonet in Saturday’s St Leger. 24.0 NIRODHA STYLISTIQUE DANGER

2.10 Doncaster A big-field fillies’ nursery; what more can a crazy punter want, except perhaps a psychiatrist. Number three on the card, Insania, is the topical tip then.

But, hold on a minute, something is guiding the hand that steers the mouse. Only one of the last nine winners has started double-figure odds, and the prize goes to a form horse, whether a recent winner or one dropped from the Pattern.

The worry is that the form at the front of the market is all about Goodwood, where some horses simply don’t perform so results can be misleading. Stylistique was fourth there in the Ladbrokes’ Prestige Stakes (Group-3).

Company Mix and Special Secret were second and third at Windsor, with the fourth horse afterwards beating Graceful Magic.. at Goodwood.

That makes Graceful Magic narrowly the main danger to Stylistique but Eve Johnson Houghton also runs Special Secret with Ryan Moore booked.

I decided to find something in the low numbers, on the basis that Barbarella (stall 2) is likely to inject some pace on that side. The last three winners of the race have come from stalls 2, 3 and 7.

I found that Nirodha (in 3) has made all but travels well and also scored coming off the pace. The 3lb-claimer Sean Davis, who has won on her the last twice, is free to ride, with Richard Fahey unusually having no runner in the race. I took 24.0. Stylistique (7.4 offers) comes out of gate 7

ENBIHAAR COULD FOIL DETTORI DAME

2.40 Doncaster (Park Hill Stakes) The fillies’ St Leger has been won twice in the last three seasons by Ralph Beckett. He saddles handicapper Oydis here with the lowest rating among the three-year-olds.

Second-season animals are losing out 7-3 to older fillies and, though Enbihaar is the only four-year-old today, she has been progressive this term, climbing the ratings more than a stone, thanks to back-to-back Group-2 successes.

Dame Malliot (Frankie Dettori) comes nearest to matching that. Her Group 2 at Deauville was run on the soft (or ‘heavy’ as we call it this side of the channel). The handicapper says that, with her allowance, she moves 7lb clear but lines through Klassique suggest that is not a true reflection of Enbihaar’s power.

The others – headed by Oaks fifth Delphinia – need to find a lot of improvement to figure against the top two, though, with Aidan O’Brien saddling three of them, tactics could play a part. I took 2.38 on BETDAQ.

TORO TORO! FAHEY WITH 20-1 STRIKE

3.15 Doncaster Another huge field of two-year-olds. Though the 2.10 fillies’ race went to shortish-priced horses at SP, this one has had winners at 33-1 and 100-1 in the last six seasons, both trained Kevin Ryan, who saddles Gimcrack third Repartee.

Even Aidan O’Brien has had a 20-1 winner of this. He gives himself three chances this afternoon, one of them, Harpocrates, was beaten only a neck for the Acomb at York. The 20-1 winner had also run at York, well behind in the Gimcrack, just like 42.0 BETDAQ punt Pistoletto now.

Richard Fahey has won this three times since 2010 and Toro Strike, a lengthy sort, might do better here than at Goodwood, when beaten little more than a length in another big-field nursery, conceding weight to the first two. Around 20.0.

Third in the Windsor Castle on soft, Glasvegas has been on holiday since, and you wonder if he hasn’t waited for autumn ground, which is unlikely this afternoon.

Don’t forget Unforgetable, second in the Silver Flash at Leopardstown, and Rayong, who chased home the runaway Mums Tipple in a race similar to this one at York.

GODOLPHIN ROSE BY ANY OTHER NAME

3.45 Doncaster (May Hill Stakes) More fillies! Two years ago this produced the public favourite Laurens, who went on to take the Fillies Mile.

Boomer, the Ladbrokes Prestige Stakes winner, had Stylistique behind that day at Goodwood, so there could be a Boomer boost in the opener.

Sister to Irish Derby and St Leger winner Capri, Passion is a hot tip to follow up her Cork maiden. Cloak Of Spirits beat nothing impressively at Ascot and the world and his wife wanted to be on this morning, down to around 2-1.

Mark Johnston’s Sweet Solera winner West End Girl is by Golden Horn and winners of this often come from July Course success.

Godolphin farmed this for four years running (2010-13) with other named trainers, and Alpen Rose, by Sea The Stars, made all over today’s CD to prep for this on soft, despite showing a top-of-the-ground action.

Passion for Aidan O’Brien at 9.8 and Alpen Rose for Charlie Appleby at 18.5 looked far too big on BETDAQ this morning

EVEREST RECKONED TO BE AT HIS PEAK

4.50 Listowel (Ladbrokes Ireland Listowel Handicap Hurdle) BETDAQ Brand Ambassador Gavin Cromwell and his new stable jockey Jonathan Moore, who teamed up for a double at Listowel yesterday, are partners for just one of the stables runners on the course today, Ming Dynasty, in this Grade B hurdle.

Paul Townend rides the Cromwell second-string, Ejayteekay; at least that’s how it looked after their one-two at Bellewstown in July, but Ejayteekay is 5lb better off for two lengths with Ming Dynasty now.

There are also two runners for Enda Bolger, with Darragh O’Keeffe claiming off his last year’s winner Ballyoisin, while Gordon Elliott has three, Chosen Mate (Robbie Power), Star Maker and Tombstone.

David’s Charm, sixth, giving Ballyoisin 15lb last year, is 10lb better off with that one but still 17lb higher than when beaten a neck in this race in 2017.

Earlier I gave you a Heads Up on Ballybrit maiden winner, Mr Everest, unexposed after only four hurdles starts. He was the 2018 November Handicap winner after a close third in the Irish Cesarewitch and winner of one of the handicaps on one of this week’s Listowel cards. I took 7.2.
