DAQMAN HEADLINE BETS ALL DAY: Fortune Cookies are back today with more maximum stakes in the St James’s Palace Stakes. The headlines:

ARTIST CAN LEAD UP AGAIN
GSTAAD FOR THE O’BRIEN X1
STARLUST TO SHINE AT 16.0
GOLD THE COOKIES BANKER
DOCK STAMINA ON THE DAY

ARTIST CAN LEAD UP AGAIN

🎩 2.30 Royal Ascot (Queen Anne Stakes) His Lockinge third was Rosallion’s first run for 11 months after a setback, following his St James’s Palace Stakes victory at this meeting.

The market will tell you whether he is back to his best and, with Colin Keane taking over on the winner, Lead Artist, for Juddmonte, Rosallion’s reversing the form is not a gimme, though the stats say that the Lockinge winner has only 25% success in the Queen Anne.

Notable Speech looks marginally overrated off the same 122 as Rosallion though behind him twice last year at this time. Lead Artist 6.5 on BETDAQ this morning.

GSTAAD FOR THE O’BRIEN X1

🎩 3.05 Royal Ascot (Coventry Stakes) Aidan O’Brien bids for his 11th Coventry winner, having scored with three favourites under Ryan Moore in the last nine years.

That’s all the more remarkable since they are surrounded by shock winners at 11-1 (twice), a friendless 80-1 and even 150-1.

I think the near side has it! Ryan Moore’s mount, Gstaad (stall 14), sired by the Royal-meeting winner Starspangledbanner, only had to be shaken up to beat his stablemate and Queen Mary hope, True Love, at Navan. BETDAQ 4.8 taken.

Dual 5f winner Military Code is in the stall next door and Postmodern, who impressed at York, is also drawn high. American Gulf (out of 8) is not but his Cole connections are second only to O’Brien in this race.

STARLUST TO SHINE AT 17.0

🎩 3.40 Royal Ascot (King Charles III Stakes) Favourites only 1-12 but the prize goes to a fancied sprinter (only one bigger than 6-1 SP since 2015).

Last year Asfoora (17) and Regional (led from 15) on the near side beat Believing, 4th out of gate 1 and drawn the same again today.

Breeders Cup turf winner on fast ground, Starlust, could lead out of 14 today at a huge 17.0 on BETDAQ.
Fast-trapper Night Raider (out of 7) stays further and this stiff sprint track will suit him well. BETDAQ 8.3

GOLD THE COOKIES BANKER

🎩 4.20 Royal Ascot (St James’s Palace Stakes) Ruling Court got first run on Field Of Gold at Newmarket but Colin Keane powered him well clear at the Curragh and he is my banker to win the battle of two Guineas winners.

🎩 5.35 Royal Ascot (Wolferton Stakes) One outright favourite in 15 and stalls 5, 6, 7, 8 have won nine of the last 14

Placed in two Guineas last Spring, and Jersey Stakes winner at this meeting last year, Haatem, has been saved for this step up in trip: BETDAQ 10.0.

Roger Varian, Wolferton winner twice in the last five years, has Enfjaar dropping back from Group 3, another classy type well drawn: 7.1 offers taken.

DOCK STAMINA ON THE DAY

🎩 5.00 Royal Ascot (Ascot Stakes) Willie Mullins had a winning spree (2012, 2015, 2017 and 2018) but double-figure odds have scored, including 14-1, 16-1, 20-1 and 66-1, as his favourites have failed since then, finishing 2-2200.

His Wolverhampton winner for the King and Queen, Reaching High (Ryan Moore), and 100-1 Triumph Hurdle shocker Poniros (William Buick) are unlikely to enjoy the firm ground.

So Poniros loses his novice-hurdles allowance (at the age of four!) but still gets 6lb here from East India Dock, third in the Triumph, having lost a shoe when leading after the last.

East India Dock then won the Chester Cup (Leinster 4th) and his stamina may make a bigger difference than the weight.

Alphonse Le Grande won the Chester Plate on firm last year and pipped Manxman in the Cesarewitch on soft.

Betdaq Betting Exchange : 8.1 East India Dock, 18.5 Alphonse Le Grande

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
