IT REMAINS FIVE NAPS RUNNING: Daqman’s NAP was a NON RUNNER yesterday but his only other bet of the day WON AT 3/1 – by 14 lengths on the flat. His last five NAPS have been:

WON 13-8 Lawman’s Thunder
WON 5-4 Russian Realm
WON 11-4 Tioga Pass
WON 4-6 Adelaide (banker)
WON 2-1 Never Never

BETDAQ QUARTET: Daqman previews the final four races on the Kempton card tonight – all sponsored by BETDAQ. But he heads to Chepstow for his all-important NAP.

A non runner is always better than a loser but I can’t help thinking what might of been yesterday

One of my main angles into napping Mercers Court in the 8.50 at Huntingdon was that I wasn’t keen on Shrewd who I thought was overbet because of the McCoy factor.

Shrewd finished last of the five finishers at even money but Mercers Court was a non runner.

It was a winning day however as my only other bet of the day, Native Heart scorched home by 14 lengths in a seven furlong race at the rewarding odds of 3/1.

The last four races on the Kempton card tonight are all sponsored by BETDAQ:

7:45 Betdaq 25 No Lose Free Bet Handicap (4yo+, Class 4, 7f, 9 runners)

The first of four BETDAQ handicaps to conclude the card. I thought the interesting runner here was Good Authority with Richard Hughes riding for Karen George. Hughes is onboard for the first time on this 30 times raced gelding who is dropped in grade and has been given a chance by the handicapper. He is now 5lb lower than when finishing down the field over course and distance in December and didn’t run too badly when fifth on the turf at Lingfield last time out.

8:15 Betdaq Supporting The Injured Jockeys Fund Handicap (London Middle Distance Series Qualifier) (3yo, Class 4, 1m 3f, 10 runners)

For a class 4 this looks really competitive with many of the top stables represented. It’s packed full of likely improvers including Arab Dawn who is on for a hat-trick after wins on the turf at Goodwood and Newbury this season. I thought Sir Michael Stoute’s Good Value was a little disappointing at Bath when second of three and a beaten odds-on favourite. He may already need respite from the handicapper but James Doyle still prefers him to Likelihood here who runs in the same colours of the owner. The Godolphin first string (on betting at least) Classic Devotion might be worth chancing on handicap debut. He ran well here last time when second.

8:45 Betdaq – The Sports Betting Exchange Handicap (3yo, Class 5, 6f, 7 runners)

There are two I fancy here above the field and I am struggling to separate them. They are Hipz and Artemis both trading currently at around 8 on the early BETDAQ market. My strategy is to have two points on both of them in the knowledge that a win for either will guarantee a decent profit. Both are course and distance winners.

9:15 Betdaq No Premium Charge Handicap (London Mile Series Qualifier) (4yo+, Class 5, 1m, 10 runners)

Aomen Rock can only be a speculative place suggestion for a competitive finale. Hayley Turner’s mount wasn’t beaten far when fourth over 7f here last time behind Until Midnight and shaped as though the extra furlong tonight will suit. He remains off a mark of 68 and also remains a maiden. I’m more tempted by the 2.4 on offer on the BETDAQ place market than playing him for the win.

NAP RACE

I don’t fancy anything strong enough to nap at Kempton but do like the look of Loch Ma Naire at Chepstow (4.40) this afternoon. The key to this race is the ground. I think she is certain to like the soft ground and the same can’t be said categorically for her rivals. New Colours, for example, ran well at Windsor last time but that was on good ground. Loch Ma Naire proved she could handle the surface when third at Newmarket at the back end of last season and can prove good enough to win a small race such as this. She is around 3.6 on BETDAQ at the time of writing.

DAQMAN’S BETS:
BET 10pts win (nap) LOCH MA NAIRE (4.40 Chepstow)
BET 5pts win GOOD AUTHORITY (7.45 Kempton)
BET 3pts win CLASSIC DEVOTION (8.15 Kempton)
BET 2pts win on both HIPZ and ARTEMIIS (8.45 Kempton)
BET 6pts place AOMEN ROCK (9.15 Kempton)
