EUROPA LEAGUE THURSDAY: We preview Thursday’s Europa League games between OSTERSUNDS FK v ARSENAL and CELTIC ST PETERSBURG with recommended BETDAQ bets.

6pm After enjoying the Champions League for the last two nights, it’s nice to have the Europa League back too! Arsenal travel to take on a surprise package this year in Ostersunds and it presents us with the same question we’ve had all season with Arsenal – can you trust them away from home? They are heavy favourites going into this tie, with the match odds at the time of writing; Ostersunds 7.8, Arsenal 1.49 and the draw is 4.8.
It’s very hard to commit to backing Arsenal at such short odds away from home, however they should get the job done here. How many times have people said that this season though, only for them to let them down. Arsenal have won two of their three away games this season in the Europa League though, ironically with the second XI – after losing to Spurs at the weekend though, this competition will become their main aim for the season now. Ostersunds found the net in each of their home Europa League games and their recent games have had plenty of goals, with over 2.5 goals trading 1.92 we’re happy to back that with questions about Arsenal at the back away from home.

CELTIC V ZENIT ST PETERSBURG
8.05pm Celtic were given an impossible draw in the Champions League Group stages, and finishing third for a spot here was the best they could have done. They haven’t got an easy tie here either though against the solid Zenit side, and it’ll be interesting to see can Celtic win tonight and take a lead into the second leg. The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Celtic 2.74, Zenit St Petersburg 2.62 and the draw is 3.6.
Zenit haven’t had a competitive game since the 11th of December, however with no commitments they will surely be well drilled for this game. As we have seen in Europe this season, Celtic play domestically at a level way below what’s required to be competitive in Europe and while you might be able to say the same about Zenit, we feel that Celtic are a good value lay here at 2.74. Celtic have leaked too many goals this season and we’re happy to side with Zenit at the odds.
