A warm welcome to a new BETDAQ TIPS pundit…..

Betdaq’s TREVOR DUNNE aka TrevDaq will bring his expert advice on LIVE Sky greyhound meetings starting with Monmore on Thursday for the TV Trophy.

It’s the first time this year the “Sky” cameras have visited Monmore Green and they are lucky to host the prestigous TV trophy at the Wolverhampton venue.

Previous winners of the event were household names such as Ballyregan Bob and Scurlogue Champ. The current crop of stayers wouldn’t be in that league.

Those days we used to tune into Sportsnight on the Beeb and listen to the great Harry Carpenter commentate.

I have chosen 2 of the 8 Sky races for punters to get stuck into, there are no lays this week but expect ones in the future.

My nap is AERO TOBIAS in the 9.25 drawn in Tp4 who was previously named Ballymac Tobias. He was impressive out of Tp 4 in the previous round doing a scintillating 28.20. With traps 1,2 and 3 heading for the rail and traps 5 and 6 wide runners the stage looks set for my Nap.

He has won over the stamina sapping 515 at Hove so the 480 seems ideal. He is 5 from 12 and his trainer Dean Childs appeared on RPTV last week putting him up as a future Derby contender.

There has already been plenty of money for Aero Tobias so I forecast anything over 2.5 represents a decent punt.

The next race to play in is the 8.15, runners are thin on the ground with a lot of dogs badly drawn narrowing the field to two.

The race features Farloe Ironman, last years Derby finalist who will be hard to oppose winning 13/25 and 10 from Hove over 515 but he was workmanlike when winning at odds of 1/4 last week so I am siding with Tp1 Whittle Murtagh who could be value against the Ironman!

Its transition time for Kim Billingham’s charge and its out of the paddling pool into the deep end having turned two in September and now taking on all-aged dogs, he has competed in all the top puppy races and of his best form he was 1 3/4 lengths behind Ballymac Esk who is the current Derby favourite.

There are negatives in the race around T6 who has never run out of it. T5 is 0/3 from T5 and 0 from 8 outside Romford and never won outside 3.Tp 4 is a railer and Tp 3 was 7 lengths behind traps 4 and 2 in the last two weeks.

So get on Tp1 Whittle Murtagh at odds between 3.5 and 4.0.

TrevDaq’s BETS:
Whittle Murtagh (Trap 1 – 8.15 Monmore)
Aero Tobias (NAP) (Trap 4 – 9.25 Monmore)
