GREG WALKER: It’s matchday six in Spain’s La Liga and surprisingly things are very tight at the top with the top four, Real Madrid, Sevilla, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid being split by just four points. In fifth place are one of last season’s promoted teams Las Palmas and it’s the Canary Islanders home stadium of Estadio Gran Canaria which welcome table toppers Real Madrid on Saturday evening.

Real Madrid come into this game at big odds on (1.4) to lay on Betdaq, however despite their position at the top of the table and the gulf in player quality I do feel the odds on available on this occasion is of no value.

Both Las Palmas and Real Madrid played midweek and both had disappointing results, Las Palmas beaten 4-1 away to Sociedad and Real drawing from behind at home to Villarreal.

Las Palmas were playing well on the night and just a goal down until a red card for star player Kevin-Prince Boateng on 21 minutes put the game to bed. Boateng will be missed this evening by his Las Palmas team mates for sure.

On the head to head, Las Palmas have come out with only one victory from six games in recent years against Real Madrid, however, I do feel that the Los Blancos centre half pairing of Sergio Ramos and Rafa Varane are there for the taking at times and I still have my doubts about their keeper Casilla.

Las Palmas have scored at least once in all five games this season, a total of twelve goals – just one behind Real Madrid.

On paper, all things point to a Real Madrid victory, however, for me, Los Blancos will be in for a tough night and I am going to lay Real Madrid at odds on 1.4 on Betdaq.

Lay 2 points Real Madrid at 1.4
