PREVIEW

The Dublin Super Cup gets underway with Airtricity XI and Manchester City’s lunchtime fixture. Airtricity are a team selected from the best players from Ireland’s top domestic League. Inter Milan and Celtic make up the final two sides in the competition.

Roberto Mancini has had a tough old summer having to deal with his want away captain and top goalscorer Carlos Tevez. Some good news is that the manager has been able to capture the services of fellow Argentine Kun Aguero from Atletico Madrid for a fee thought to be around £40million. Aguero has only just finished playing at the Copa America with Argentina, where he finished second top scorer with three goals.

He likely strike-partner, Mario Balotelli, has once again been making the headlines for all the wrong reasons and his actions across the Atlantic caused a big rift with the manager. After the forward’s misdemeanor, Mancini hauled his player off after 32 minutes and it’ll be interesting to see whether Balotelli finds himself stuck on the bench tomorrow. Airtricity will certainly be hoping that Mancini opts to punish his player for another match.

Even at around 1.11 on Betdaq, it seems the best bet here is to back Man City in the straight win market. City have just returned from an unbeaten tour of the US and the side look as if their pre-season preparations are progressing well.

RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)

Back Man City at around 1.11: 7 points

Thursday’s Return: -4 points
