PREVIEW

Premier League newcomers, Norwich City, will host Sunderland tonight in a bid to win their first home league game of the season. Both sides have taken all three points on only one occasion since August and will be hoping to kick start their march up the table with a result at Carrow Road.

City come to tonight’s game after a 2-1 victory against bottom-of-the-league Bolton at the Reebok Stadium. They sit directly below Sunderland in the table, but with both sides separated on goal difference only, Norwich manager Paul Lambert will be looking to leapfrog the Black Cats.

A home win tonight for the Canaries is available at around 2.45 on BETDAQ.

Meanwhile, the Sunderland side will be in high spirits following a 4-0 hammering of Stoke which secured their first win of the season. But Steve Bruce’s men have only managed to secure a point from each of their league games on the road so far.

Bruce will be pleased to know, however, that his team have won four out of the last six head-to-heads against Norwich City, the last ending in a 4-1 victory away at Carrow Road in 2009 in the Carling Cup. Another win here against City is currently trading at around 3.25 on BETDAQ.

With only one draw between the two sides in their last ten fixtures, punters can get 3.35 for the points to be shared, while it’s 2.05 for there to be under 2.5 goals in tonight’s contest.

RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)

Back Sunderland at around 3.25:  4 points
Sunday’s Return: +5.28 points
