PREVIEW

Arsenal’s impressive win on Wednesday evening saw them become the first English side to qualify for the Champions League as they continued their impressive run of results. The Gunners were up against a tough Borussia Dortmund outfit, so they will come into today’s Fulham clash in high spirits.

Wednesday’s victory was the Gunners’ third on the spin and the ninth game across all competitions without defeat. Since Liverpool’s 2-0 win at the Emirates at the end of August, the Gunners have won all their home league games and will fancy their chances of another here against an inconsistent Fulham side.

The Cottagers are two points outside the relegation places and have won just once in their last six away league games. Last weekend Martin Jol’s side picked up a decent enough point at the Stadium of Light, although Mark Schwarzer was largely to thank after his heroics in goal.

Arsenal have won their two most recent games against Fulham and the visitors will somehow need to find a way to stop Robin Van Persie. The Dutchman scored another two goals on Wednesday to continue his fantastic scoring streak. One of the main positives to come from the Dortmund game was how much better the defense played and that makes Fulham’s chances of avoiding defeat even less likely.

With the way the Gunners are playing I can see them winning this at a canter and I’m happy to suggest backing them to win by two or more goals at around 2.44 on BETDAQ.

RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)

Back Arsenal with the -1.5 handicap at around 2.44: 6 points

Friday’s Return: +6.20 points
