PREVIEW

Rangers have bounced back well from their shock 1-0 defeat at Kilmarnock at the end of November with three straight victories to keep their four point lead at the top of the SPL. Celtic have kept up the pressure on the league leaders and they know they cannot afford another slip up against St Mirren.

The Saints took a well-earned point from the meeting at Ibrox and Ally McCoist will be out for revenge this time around. Some good news for Rangers fans making the trip to St Mirren Park is that Rangers have won their past three games at the ground. If the Saints’ task was not tough enough, they haven’t even scored against Rangers in their past two home games against them.

Rangers have won five of their past six away SPL games and just look too strong for the Saints to cause an upset here. Nikica Jelavic has bagged himself three goals in as many games and will likely be the visitors’ main attacking threat. Kyle Lafferty scored the winner against Inverness last time out and he’ll be keen to add to his season tally of six SPL goals.

St Mirren have won only once in six league games and my advice would be to back the away win at around 1.49 on BETDAQ.

RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)

Back Rangers at around 1.49: 4 points

Friday’s Return: NO BET
