PREVIEW

There’s been a storm brewing at Ewood Park ever since the Venky’s takeover of Blackburn and after three successive defeats at the start of the season it could be about to hit.

Steve Kean is feeling the pressure and his return to Craven Cottage, having previously been assistant to former Fulham manager Chris Coleman, is almost a must-win game. Lose it and the Scot could well be shown the door.

The hosts haven’t made a flying start to the season themselves, taking just one point from their opening three games, but their two defeats came on the road and they are much more of a force at home. There was no disgrace in drawing with Aston Villa on the opening day and the Cottagers are short price favourites here.

Whether they represent value at 1.71 on BETDAQ is questionable. Blackburn are as long as 6.0 but the best bet could be the draw at 3.75.

Both managers will be keen to register a first victory of the campaign, but I think they would each settle for a point if they had to.

Neither side are heavy scorers so a low scoring encounter is also likely, with the 1-1 draw tempting at 7.8.

RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)

1-1 correct score at around 7.8: 1.5 points
Saturday’s Return: -5 points
