PREVIEW
Having just missed out on an automatic promotion place to their city rivals, Sheffield United meet Stevenage in the play-off lottery this evening.

The Blades failed to win any of their final three league games and that’s not the form needed ahead of a crucial play-off semi-final. That run included successive 2-2 draws and the back four will need to be far tighter to see off a resurgent Stevenage.

Danny Wilson’s side struggled against Stevenage in the regular season, losing at Broadwall Hall and only managing a recent 2-2 draw in the reverse fixture. Even though the Blades finished the campaign on a flat note, they have the talent in the squad to raise their game when needed.

There will of course be some concern that they are heading to a club that have only been beaten three times at home all season, however the hosts have drawn ten of their 23 home league games.

With the second most home wins in the league, the Blades would be happy with a draw to take back to Bramall Lane. Stevenage are capable of holding the Blades at home and I would recommend taking the 3.35 available on BETDAQ for it to be level heading into the second leg.

RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)
Back the draw at 3.35: 4 points

Wednesday’s Return: -6 points

MAY RETURN TO DATE: -3.35
