PREVIEW
Kenny Dalglish takes his faltering Liverpool side to Ewood Park, looking for their first league win in four and only their fourth in 17 Premier League games.

Dalglish’s team have been labeled a ‘cup’ side after their recent success in the Carling Cup final, however, they are set to make their lowest finishing position for 15 years as they have struggled for goals this season.

Steve Kean’s Blackburn Rovers side welcome Liverpool, with the hosts back in the relegation zone after three straight defeats. However, losing just once in their previous five meetings with Liverpool at Ewood Park, Kean will be eager to pick up at least a point, which will lift them clear of the bottom three.

The stats support Kean’s optimism as Blackburn have won three of their last six league games at home losing just twice, a string of results that has helped Rovers climb level on points with QPR, who sit just one place above the bottom three.

Liverpool’s away form has been inconsistent and this has been highlighted with them failing to score in six of their 15 away games this season.

It is difficult to decipher who needs the win more, Blackburn are desperate to lift themselves out of the bottom three and ultimately stay in the Premier League. Liverpool badly need to find some form before a massive Merseyside derby at Wembley next week, and Dalglish himself, needs a win to prevent rumours of an end of season sacking gathering pace for a manager who spent over £50 million in the summer.

Punters would be clever to back under (2.5) at around 2.00 on BETDAQ as both teams have struggled for goals all season and I can’t see that being any different in a cagey affair at Ewood Park.

RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)
Back under 2.5 goals at around 2.00 on BETDAQ: 4 points
