PREVIEW
Coming into this game on the back of a famous 2-1 victory away at Holland last time out, Bulgaria welcome Abdullah Avci’s Turkey side to the Red Bull Arena in Salzburg, Austria.

Bulgaria’s impressive win against Holland has given the side something to build on after a tough few months for the national side. However, they are still currently sitting in their lowest ever FIFA ranking position of 96th. This low ranking is largely down to their poor recent form which consists of only two wins from 13 games, a run which coincided with the international retirement of talisman Dimitar Berbatov.

The hosts face a Turkish side coming into this clash on the back of an embarrassing 3-2 defeat in Finland. Turkey are also a team on the slide, winning just two of their last eight fixtures, seeing them slip down the FIFA rankings to 33rd.  The Turks also failed to qualify for the European Championships after losing a play-off game against Croatia; this all comes after they reached the semi-finals of the 2008 European Championships.

Both teams poor form is centred around their inabilities to defend and keep clean sheets. Turkey have conceded eight times in their last three outings, likewise Lyuboslav Penev’s side have shipped 12 in their last six.

With neither nation offering much defensively, backing there to be over 2.5 goals at around 2.04 on BETDAQ looks the sensible bet.

RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)

Back over 2.5 goals at around 2.04 on BETDAQ: 5 points

Monday Return: -4 points
