PREVIEW

Stuart Pearce’s England U21 squad get back into action this evening at Bloomfield Road when they welcome Northern Ireland.

England sealed their place at the U21 European Championships with a hard fought 2-0 aggregate victory over Serbia that will be remembered for the unsavory scenes at the final whistle. During the actual football the Three Lions were excellent and the 1-0 victory in Krusevac extended their run of victories to five on the bounce for the side.

The 1-0 result in Serbia made it nine wins from ten for the U21s with the only blemish coming against the impressive Belgium. Pearce’s task has been made that little bit tougher as a number of the senior squad have dropped out of Roy Hodgson’s squad following the weekend’s Premier League fixtures.

Wilfried Zaha will be unavailable for selection as the Crystal Palace star earned a senior call-up, the first from the Championship since Jay Bothroyd in 2010. Even without Zaha, Pearce has an excellent group of players to choose from and they will be far too strong for a struggling Northern Irish side.

Nick Powell is set to get a run out after impressing for Manchester United and he can help England to a comfortable win here. I’d recommend backing there to be more than 3.5 goals at 1.9 on BETDAQ.

RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)
Back over 3.5 goals at around 1.9 on BETDAQ: 4 points

Monday: -4.00 points

NOVEMBER RETURN TO DATE: +3.38 points
