PREVIEW
Tonight’s Championship clash pits eighth against sixth as Brighton host in-form Millwall at the Fulmer Stadium.
No side in the Championship have won more points than Millwall in their last 11 Championship games. The Lions’ haul of 24 in that time includes seven wins and victory tonight would strengthen their position in the play-off zone. The south London side have lost just one of their last seven games and along with Brighton boast the joint-second best record of clean sheets in the league.
Unsurprisingly, considering the Seagull’s mean defence, there have been an average of just 2.3 goals scored per game in matches involving Brighton this season – a league-low.
These midweek games are always difficult to call, particularly as home advantage seems to count for so much in England’s second division. But Brighton are without a win in three league games, having won three and drawn four of their previous seven and have something to prove later.
They are favourites but such has been Millwall’s hot run you would be brave to go in at around 2.1 on BETDAQ.
