PREVIEW
The FA Cup third round replays kick off tonight and the best chance of an upset looks to be at Dean Court where League One Bournemouth host Premier League Wigan.
The Cherries are on an unbeaten run of ten in the league and that, coupled with their credible 1-1 draw at the DW Stadium, means they are on one of the best runs in the whole of the English league.
They have also qualified for the fourth round on three of the last four occasions that they have reached this stage of the competition.
Wigan are once again struggling to keep their head above the relegation waters and haven’t kept a clean sheet in any of their last seven games against lower league opposition in the FA Cup. They’ve won just one of their last ten games and have already lost out to lower-league Bradford in the League Cup.
Five of the last seven encounters between these sides have been draws but the FA Cup game on the 5th January was the first time in nearly seven years they had met.
The hosts welcomed back top scorer Lewis Grabban from illness against Swindon at the weekend and he is likely to retain his place tonight. With a packed home crowd roaring them on, Bournemouth can recreate their brilliant upset of 29 years ago, when they dumped out Manchester United at this stage, and claim another top-flight scalp.
