PREVIEW
Tonight’s clash between Swansea and Sunderland looks a close match on paper but in the past it’s been the hosts that have enjoyed these meetings. The Black Cats are unbeaten in all three of their Premier League encounters with the Swans, winning one and drawing two.

And the Welsh club have only ever won once at the Stadium of Light in any competition, back in 1982, and their recent form must be a concern.

Michael Laudrup’s men have made the final of the League Cup with a brilliant victory over Chelsea and have a favourites chance against Bradford in the February showpiece to lift their first very major honour in English football, but they have failed to find the net in four of their last five games.

Michu, the Spanish striker who has made just an impact this term, has hit just one goal in his last eight hours and 31 minutes of league football. He had averaged a goal every 115 minutes previously.

Although the visitors may have only lost two of their last 14 games, seven draws in that time is frustrating.

Sunderland have won five of their last eight Premier League games, after winning just four of their previous 29, and are now sitting comfortably in 11th-place in the table, having looked like they were going to get caught in a relegation battle. If matches ended at half-time this season, Sunderland would be fourth.

Their Scottish striker Steven Fletcher has scored three goals in his previous two Premier League appearances against Swansea and has found the net first in six league games this season – more than any other player.

At around 5 on BETDAQ he’s worth backing to continue that impressive run.

RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)
Back Steven Fletcher to score first at around 5 on BETDAQ: 3 points

JANUARY RETURN TO DATE: -19.33 points
