Paris St Germain v Valencia
Champions League
K.O 19.45, Sky Sports 1

HEAD TO HEAD

(Max 10 only)
12Feb 2013 Champions League, Valencia 1 – 2 Paris St Germain

PREVIEW
Paris St Germain spent heavily in the summer but haven’t had it all their own way this season and have lost two of their last three league games in France. That has allowed Lyon to close the gap at the top to just two points. In Europe though, they have been in fine form and go into tonight’s Champions League last 16 second leg against Valencia leading 2-1 from the first meeting in Spain.

And the Parisians could probably have had the tie wrapped up if they hadn’t conceded a late goal. That was then followed by a needless red card from talisman Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Swedish striker joins Marco Veratti on the bench and, with winger Jeremy Menez sidelined by injury, David Beckham could feature in the competition for the first time since 2010.

Valencia have been in fair form this season without landing a blow in the La Liga title race. They looked outclassed at times by St Germain’s movement and speed in the first leg and it’s always a tough ask for any side to overturn a home defeat in the knock-out stages.

You might have expected the hosts to be shorter than the 2.01 available on BETDAQ and that is a price worth taking on Carlo Ancelotti’s side wrapping up a place in the quarter-finals with a win.

RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)
Back Paris St Germain at around 2.01 on BETDAQ: 4 points

Tuesday: +4.20 points
