PREVIEW
Crusaders and Linfield will continue their battle for second place in the Premiership when they meet at Seaview later, with both teams knowing the league title is already well out of reach.
Runaway leaders Cliftonville have established a lead of 17 points over tonight’s hosts and are a further two ahead of Linfield. The Belfast side also have two games in hand of both these teams.
The Blues have yet to beat the Crues this season, having drawn one and lost one in the league. Crusaders have also beaten Linfield in both the League Cup and the Irish Cup and will be confident they can gain another win at around 2.31 on BETDAQ.
Between them, Crusaders and Linfield have lost just one of their 20 league games and the former are yet to lose a home game, winning ten of their 14 so far.
The visitors’ away form has let them down this term, as they’ve failed to eight of their 15 trips on the road. Their manager David Jeffrey has already voiced his disbelief that his men are going to end the season without any silverware. Having won six doubles in seven years, it’s a shock to see Linfield in this situation and it’s unlikely to improve later.
Crusaders have already showed they have the measure of these opponents and can seal a victory.
