PREVIEW
Today’s final scheduled mens’ fourth round match at the French Open pits the world number nine and home hope Richard Gasquet against world number ten Stanislas Warinka. It promises to be a exciting encounter on the famous red clay.

Gasquet has never lived up to the potential his junior days, when he was the world number one, suggested he was capable of, but he’s consistently been around the top ten as a senior and has been in scintillating form so far this tournament.

The 26-year-old has not dropped a set yet in his three matches and has not even been taken to a tiebreak yet. Gasquet has won the only previous encounter between the players, also in Paris, and perhaps looks over-priced at around 2.26 on BETDAQ.

Wawrinka is the favourite at around 1.78 but he has been taken to four sets twice already over the last week here against relatively unknown players. He’s also been on the court a lot longer than today’s rival and it’s puzzling to see him such a clear market leader.

French players have notoriously struggled with the pressure of playing in front of their home fans over the last few decades but Gasquet has always had a good connection with his supporters and, in what us likely to be a close contest, he looks the value.

RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)
Back Richard Gasquet at around 2.26 on BETDAQ: 4 points

Sunday: +4.90 points
JUNE RETURN TO DATE: +8.55 points
