It’s the Champions League Final in Lisbon. It’s sure to be a thriller and well done again to BETDAQ competition winner Ben White who gets to see the match live at the Estadio da Luz.
The history books show there is still a gulf between these two sides despite the momentum being with Atletico who clinched victory in La Liga.
However, Atletico have won just one of their last 30 games against Real Madrid inside 90 minutes and are bidding for their first European Cup whereas Real are going for their 10th !
It’s the first European Cup final with two teams from the same city but the fifth meeting between the two sides this season which so far has seen Real win two, lose one and draw the other game.
Atletico will be boosted by the likely return of striker Diego Costa (36 goals this season) who was considered a major doubt after tearing a hamstring during last weekend’s 1-1 draw with Barcelona – the result which won Atletico the Spanish title.
Sometimes matches that look brilliant on paper don’t live up to expectations (remember the Europa League final a few days ago zzzzzzzzzzzzzz).
However, this could get lively and whilst the BETDAQ market says ‘under 2.5 goals’ is more likely in a cagey match – we feel it could go the other way with plenty of goals and are therefore very happy to take around 2.3 for over 2.5 goals.
