Kingston Hill was a little disappointing in the 2000 Guineas when only eighth and whilst the Derby trip is much more likely to suit there must be the concern that he needs it softer to show his best form.
Geoffrey Chaucer has been the subject of glowing home reports and was unlucky in the Derrinstown Stud Derby Trial Stakes. He is very much a leading contender despite being ‘second string’ to Australia.
