As it stands the Netherlands top the group on goal difference. They have been in a rich vein of scoring form and have racked up 22 goals in their past five competitive matches. The Dutch beat Germany 3-2 in their first outing here before smashing Russia, who played most of the match a man down, 5-1. Punters can back the Dutch at around 3.45 on the exchange.
Spain, available at 2.28, are the defending champions and use a contrasting style to get the better of their opponents. Unlike the Netherlands’ free-flowing approach, the Spanish prefer to play keep ball and pass sides to death.
Spain have beaten Russia and Germany 1-0 in their two group games so far as Alvaro Morata twice came off the bench to snatch late winners.
Both managers are expected to make changes ahead of the semi-finals which makes this a tough fixture to call. Even though the Netherlands have scored plenty of goals, four of those have arrived in the final ten minutes and against a better organised team that’s unlikely to be repeated.
The Dutch have been very impressive defensively in recent times as they have kept nine clean sheets in their last 13 and with the changes to both starting XIs I fancy this one to be a low scoring affair.
