PREMIER LEAGUE FRIDAY: We preview Friday’s Premier League game with a recommended BETDAQ bet and extended stats for ASTON VILLA v EVERTON.

ASTON VILLA V EVERTON

8pm We have Friday Night Football to enjoy tonight as Aston Villa host Everton! We’ve only been two games into the new Premier League season; however Everton are the only side yet to concede a goal. Perhaps a sign of an exciting season to come. Villa impressed in their opener against Spurs, however they lost here last weekend to Bournemouth who have been poor away from home. Both sides will see this as a good chance of picking up three points, but another loss for Villa will put pressure on Dean Smith after a £100M+ plus spend during the summer.

The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Aston Villa 3.4, Everton 2.32 and the draw is 3.55. Everton have been very solid at the back in their opening too games and a quick look back at their fixtures shows how good they have become at the back. They’ve kept ten clean sheets in their last 13 games. Villa have played well in patches at the start of the season; but they haven’t put everything to together yet.

Given how patchy Villa have been, we can see them struggling to score against their Everton side. The one thing that puts you off the Everton price is they have only won three times in their last ten away Premier League games. They might be very good at the back, but they are struggling to score away from home. Failing to beat Palace on the hoping day was disappointing too.

On balance, if you had to pick a winner – you would go for Everton. However given how solid they have been at the back and Villa not putting it all together yet, this game screams unders. Under 2.5 goals looks absolutely massive at 2.06. It’s very surprising that it’s odds against and we can’t look past this as our best bet.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Under 2.5 goals at 2.06.
