PREMIER LEAGUE: We preview Saturday’s Premier League matches with a recommended BETDAQ bet. The action gets underway at 12.30pm with SPURS v LIVERPOOL at Wembley.

TOTTENHAM V LIVERPOOL

12.30pm The Premier League returns after the International break and we start with a cracker! We’ve seen some excellent drama between these two sides in recent years and hopefully we see more of the same here. Spurs suffered a 2-1 defeat away to Watford prior to the International break while Liverpool come into this tie sitting top of the league. The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Tottenham 3.1, Liverpool 2.42 and the draw is 3.7. Liverpool have no doubt been impressive in their opening games, however they look too short here at 2.42. Spurs have played some good football this season, comfortably beating Man United 3-0 and from a value point of view – we can’t get away from the Liverpool lay here – we just expect a way closer game than those odds suggest.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Liverpool at 2.42.

BOURNEMOUTH V LEICESTER

3pm This should be a very good game between two evenly matched sides. Both sides have come up short when meeting teams from the top six however they have also both been very solid when facing teams outside the top six. It’s hard not to see a very close game here and the market reflects that; with Bournemouth 2.5, Leicester 3.1 and the draw 3.5 at the time of writing. You’d have to say that Leicester have been playing better football at home in recent seasons compared to away from home, although they played very well at Old Trafford on the opening day of the season. Bournemouth are very solid at home too – however we feel that this will be very close and that the value is with the draw at 3.5.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Draw at 3.5.

CHELSEA V CARDIFF CITY

3pm Chelsea are sitting pretty with four wins from four games coming into this tie, and it’s hard to see Cardiff stopping them. With Liverpool away to Spurs in the early kick off; Chelsea could be sitting top of the league come this evening and the markets see an easy home win – Chelsea are currently trading 1.19 at the time of writing! Cardiff got off a lackluster start to the Premier League when losing 2-0 against Bournemouth however they have battled hard since – they nearly kept Arsenal to a draw prior to the International break. You have to think that Cardiff will be better at home this season and we feel Chelsea will cruise through this one. They’re trading 1.66 -1.5 goals and that looks good value given the way both sides have played this season – Chelsea have been impressive and they can continue their good form here.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Chelsea -1.5 goals to beat Cardiff at 1.66.

HUDDERSFIELD V CRYSTAL PALACE

3pm Huddersfield had a tough start to the Premier League this season having to face Chelsea and Manchester City in their open two games. They conceded nine goals and lost both games, perhaps expected, but it’s still a tough way to start your year. They have battled hard against Cardiff and Everton since – however they look limited going forward and it looks like it will be a long season ahead for them. Winning this type of fixture would be a great confidence booster for them, and Palace haven’t expected started the season in excellent form either. They beat Fulham on the opening day of the season but since then they’ve lost to Liverpool, Watford and Southampton. On balance Palace look a touch short on 2.54 however we prefer the draw here at 3.2 as both sides could cancel each other out here. It’s worth considering 0-0 in this fixture too.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Draw at 3.2.

MANCHESTER CITY V FULHAM

3pm After losing their opening two games, Fulham have bounced back nicely with a Premier League win, a draw away from home and a win in the League Cup. It looks like Fulham will have enough class to stay up this season; which is obviously the first target of any promoted team these days. It’s impossible to see anything but a Manchester City win today however, and the markets agree with them trading as short at 1.13! We haven’t seen prices like this in the Premier League until this City side came along and it looks like they are here to stay. Fulham play an open style of football and we can see plenty of goals in this one – Any Other Home Win (Man City to score four or more and win) is trading 2.34 in the Correct Score market and that looks good value.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Any Other Home Win at 2.34.

NEWCASTLE V ARSENAL

3pm There are some great memories of games between these two back through the years, however we have two very different sides now! It will be very interesting to see how Arsenal get on here – St James’ Palace is always a tough place to go and win; and we all know how poor Arsenal are away from home. Perhaps that will change under the new manager, however they barely got past Cardiff away from home prior to the International break and with Arsenal odds on here we have to lay them. Newcastle only had one point from four games, however they’ve had to play Spurs, Chelsea and Man City in three of those and they will fancy playing Arsenal with home advantage more than any of those three. Until we see improved away form from Arsenal, we have to lay them at odds on in games like this.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Arsenal at 1.96.

WATFORD V MANCHESTER UNITED

5.30pm It hasn’t been a good start to the Premier League for Jose Mourinho and his men, and now they have to face Watford who are full of confidence with four wins from four games. Watford will surely really fancy this clash looking at the way United have played away from home recently – they just don’t look full of confidence and we could see plenty of goals here. The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Watford 4.4, Manchester United 2.0 and the draw is 3.65. Last time out here Watford beat Spurs 2-1 and it’s very difficult to back United here at 2.0 – indeed they look like the best value lay of the day at those odds. United simply have to improve away from home and with Watford full of confidence, we’re very happy to look no further than the United lay for our best bet on this one!

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Manchester United at 2.0.
