Barra looks a good bet in the beginners chase tonight at Kilbeggan.
She has always looked the sort to do better over the larger obstacles and it’s surprising in many ways she was only able to win once over hurdles. That was her maiden hurdle at Fairyhouse.
She was however campaigned at a higher level since though and finished off with a fifth placed effort in the Annie Power Mares Champion Hurdle at the Punchestown Festival.
She also notably finished third in the Coral Cup at the Cheltenham Festival earlier in the year.
This looks a soft introduction for the Gordon Elliott trained runner who probably has Clara Sorrento to beat providing he improves on his chase debut at Wexford.
