DUNDALK ON FRIDAY: Shamrock heads to Dundalk on Friday for a nap in the 6.20 race.

It’s rare to see small field races at Dundalk but the two non-handicap races on tonight’s card have attracted just nine runners between them and Gordon Lord Byron will be at prohibitive odds for the 8.50.

The 6.20 looks altogether more open, on the betting at least.

The three runners with experience are expected to dominate.

Super Sling brings two consistent, if not spectacular, course and distance efforts to the table and has finished third to two odds-on chances in both his starts.

That might well be good enough here. My Rules was probably flattered to finish third to Mars and has been off the track for 255 days since whilst Nomoneynohoney may need a longer trip to bring about a first win.

Super Sling is napped. Hopefully he will do better than the woeful effort from yesterday’s nap, Spot Fine.
