SHAMROCK NAPS AT DUNDALK: SHAMROCK’S best bet of the day runs at Dundalk this evening in the fillies maiden at 7.35.
It was a case of getting it wrong and frustratingly right with the nap yesterday.
I was against the odds on Vilman in the three runner finale at Limerick which proved correct but low and behold I opposed him with the wrong OTHER runner 🙁
In the fillies maiden at Dundalk tonight I am sticking with the Bill McCreery trained Fact Or Folklore who has the benefit of a recent run.
How relevant that will prove in terms of today’s race is questionable given it came on heavy ground at Cork but she ran well enough so fitness should be guaranteed as she tries the Polytrack surface for the first time.
The biggest danger looks likely to come from Realt Eile who improved on her debut Curragh run to take fourth in a maiden here last August. She hasn’t run since and I’m not totally convinced about her ability to see out the trip.
The two debutants wouldn’t have to be extra special to win this but neither are especially fancied judged by the early BETDAQ market.
