CONTINGENCY THE MAIN PLAN: SHAMROCK looks ahead to the mares hurdle at Galway this afternoon at 3.25pm.

The Willie Mullins trained Contingency should prove the answer to the Deacy Gilligan Irish EBF Mares Hurdle at Galway this afternoon.

She failed to win on the flat when trained by Stuart Williams and Jane Chapple-Hyam but looked a useful recruit to the jumping game when making a winning debut for Willie Mullins at Tramore. She travelled well in the race and was value for more than the official three and three quarter lengths winning margin.

She lacks experience but looks to have the potential and should have too much speed for Jaime Sommers who was a winner at Tramore last time out in a handicap hurdle but her overall profile reads just two wins from 25 starts and on nine occasions she has found one too good which might well be the case again today.
