GALWAY DAY ONE: SHAMROCK looks ahead to day one of the Galway Festival on Monday starting at 5.20pm.
What a week of racing ahead with the Galway Festival and Glorious Goodwood. A marathon week, not a sprint for sure !!
Galway’s mixed card gets underway at 5.20pm today on generally good ground with some give on the flat course.
Best bet for me on the opening day is Authorized Art for Willie Mullins in the opening novice hurdle.
The trainer has won this race four times in the last five years and he looks to have a big chance with this fella who won on debut for the yard at Punchestown in May after a lengthy break. He made most of the running that day to beat Batts Rock who has won since and the pair were a mile clear.
Morosini looks the obvious danger after his Ballinrobe win last time out.
