SHAMROCK HEADS TO KILBEGGAN THIS EVENING: The jumps card passed an inspection on Monday.

The card at Kilbeggan got the thumbs up after an inspection on Sunday and tonight’s meeting goes ahead on good to firm ground.

My nap of the night runs in the T & V Novice Hurdle at 7.00.

The ex-French trained Alelchi Inois looks a solid bet. He made an impressive winning Irish debut here over a two mile trip when beating Dancing Roe by three and a half lengths and should be good enough to score again over the longer trip which should suit.

The top three on the racecard dominate the race. Soweheard was let down by poor jumping when a beaten favourite at Hexham last time out whilst it was only a modest handicap hurdle that Akatara won (narrowly) over course and distance last time out but he still probably rates as the principal danger to the selection.

NAP: Alelchi Inois (7.00 Kilbeggan)
