SHAMROCK NAPS NOW 6 FROM LAST 7: The run of SHAMROCK naps goes on as he heads to Gowran Park for their big card on Thursday.

The Goffs Thyestes Handicap Chase (Grade A) is the big race on the card at Gowran Park this afternoon. 3m 1f on heavy ground so you need mudlarks and guaranteed stayers.

The race is as competitive as ever and owner JP McManus looks to have a fair chance of collecting the top prize.

He runs three but the pick is Outlaw Pete who has no problems with the distance or going and comes here on the back of winning the cross country race at Cheltenham’s December meeting. That was over 3m 7f and regular pilot Josh Halley is onboard again today.

I think he is well handicapped at present and is recommended on a win and place basis on BETDAQ.

Willie Mullins should top and tail the card. He has short-priced favourites in both races and for the nap I rely on Dogora, who landed the odds on debut at Limerick, and looks yet another horse of great potential for the yard.

SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Dogora (1.25 Gowran Park)
WIN AND PLACE: Outlaw Pete (3.25 Gowran Park)
