9/4 WINNING NAP AND LAY BET LANDED: SHAMROCK came up trumps with BOTH his bets on Monday. His nap BALLYADAM APPROACH romped home by seven lengths at 9/4 and his recommended lay bet on birthday boy Ruby Walsh’s mount CHAMPAGNE AGENT finished out of the frame, (7/2 but much shorter in the morning).

Plenty of variety on offer at tonight’s Killarney card where there are three chase races to start the card before four flat races.

Lucciola (7.00) didn’t show much on debut at Dundalk and as a result was sent off at 40/1 for her turf debut at Naas and failed by just a short head to catch Strada Colorato. That was an exceptional run and the form looks strong enough with the third placed going on to run well subsequently when fourth at the Curragh. With normal, and expected, improvement on her third start she looks a good bet here to see off the colts.

He’s Our Music has been running well on the all-weather at Dundalk but didn’t sparkle on his only start on the turf. Biggest danger is undoubtedly Van Rooney who has some solid form next to his name but became a little disappointing last season and is reappearing after a 235 day absence today.

The Real Article has been pitched in at the deep end over jumps and should relish the drop in class for the concluding flat race and see off Olympiad who scraped home at Gowran Park last time out.

SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: LUCCIOLA (7.00 Killarney)
NEXT BEST: THE REAL ARTICLE (8.30 Killarney)
